Default Jared Gaither

here is the blurb from Roto Times.. on Gaither

Jared Gaither, OL, Baltimore RavensMonday 3/29, 7:35 PM CTJared Gaither is garnering trade interest from multiple NFL clubs, according to Jason LaCanfora of NFL.com.
Our View: LaCanfora noted that the Redskins could make a move to acquire him if they pass on taking an offensive tackle with the No. 4 pick in the draft. A second-round draft pick in exchange for Gaither could interest the Ravens to discuss a swap further.

The Ravens actually have a first round tender on this guy. He's the right tackle. I am wondering if the first pick in the 3rd and some pick combinationr might pry him loose. Not sure they would do this with a division rival..but I woud love to get this guy to lock down the RT spot and weaken the Ravens at the same time.. I am not willing to for our 2nd rounder for him..While he is WORTH it... I would like to see that draft pick go to some other spot than the OL.. I can see a rookie with one of our 3's or our 4th..but to get a proven RT who is young (24 yrs old)... would be a real good move.. that being said.. I think it's a long shot.. but he was a 5th rounder so it is an upgraded pick for the Ravens..he did miss time last year with neck and ankle issues but nothing needing any surgeries.. very solid player.. Held his own agains robert mathis from the Colts quite well giving up no sacks or pressures. I would give a 3rd and a 5th for him in a minute.. any of those multiple picks.. I believe he would be worth it and we would have bookends for many years.

Yeah - like you said, I doubt the Ravens would trade him to a division rival. And I'd be curious to know why Ozzie is so eager to let Gaither go.
