Not sure anyone wants to debate that statement. We're picking too low to get the guys who most think can really help us, and we're picking too high to get those real value picks. Plus, nobody's going to go out of their way to trade with us to get into pick seven for the aforementioned reasons. So this begs the question: DID WE REALLY NEED TO WIN THOSE FINAL FOUR F-ING GAMES???? I, and a handful of other forward thinkers, 'hated' winning at the time for this very reason, and now it's looking to bite us in the butt. Discuss whether winning those games was more important than maybe getting a franchise QB/stud lineman/once-in-a-generation safety out of this draft. Because to me, it surely was not. |

Wanting the team to lose is backward thinking no matter how you look at it. I like the 7 spot. No matter what happens we have a myriad of options. I kind of think we trade down, but who knows? I like who will be available there, but I might like who will be available later plus another pick. I've made it known what I would like to see happen, and I think we could trade down maybe 5 spots and still achieve it. The effects of winning those last 4 games is over-arching ...and to think losing them for a high priced roll of the dice is a better option, is ludicrous ....IMO. Most teams try to trade out of the top spots in the draft ...there's a reason for that. Positive thoughts mz., it's the secret to a happy life. (I have trouble remembering this most of the time as well unfortunately)

I will be seriously bummed if Eric Berry is gone by pick #7. My backup plan (if possible) is to trade down, of course you need a trade up partner. If the "trade down" doesn't happen, maybe we HAVE to take Haden and take a Safety later. Than we, most likely, take Colt McCoy in the 2nd round (if his workout is good).

Im with others who are in camp Berry as most other players of need can be had later for less so we will have to wait and see but if we do make a move up it should be for Berry and if he is gone at 7 its Haden or trade down and I'm thinking with how young this team is we would probably move down for more picks and just build by numbers,I mean what the hell we already have twelve picks. Flugel loves Spiller for example and he will survive past ten which wouldn't be a bad pick but then again its all speculation, fun to think about though.

I'm in Camp Berry, too, but that amazing, thrilling, earth-shattering win vs. the Raiders that I'll be telling my grandchildren about probably cost us a chance to draft him.

That's way too funny but really,we have a much better shot of landing Berry than we do Bradford and Berry is who we really need so we will see.

Why would anyone want to trade up for a pick with no (relative) value? Unless Berry falls, the pick at seven (whoever makes it) will be reaching. It's just the way it ended up this year. And I need more evidence that teams all try to trade out of those top picks because I simply do not believe it. And I need more evidence that those shit wins at the end of the season meant anything for a team with tremendous turnover on and off the field. And where does "being positive" factor into the equation, other than trying to paint me as some Vegasdogg-style angryman? I'll have you know my life is fantastic, except for that shitty football team I root for... |

And I need more evidence that the above statement is true, because this is purely your opinion, and not a statement of fact. Require from yourself the things you require of others and perhaps your opinions would be different. Being at 7 allows us to see how things play out, and trade up or trade down. We have the chips to make either play. I love the Cleveland Browns, and I love being a fan. Quote:
By the way, nice spin. I believe I said "most". Last edited by TheBestPlayersPlay; 03-30-2010 at 12:22 PM. Reason: spin |

When you put together an atmosphere of winning, that is never a bad thing. I know what you're trying to say, and I just think it is poor, backwards thinking. Have you ever played sports? |
