Default Redskins Prepping to Fleece the Browns

They're having Eric Berry visit tomorrow and Thursday when they need a QB or LT. I expect all press releases of his amazing visit to go directly to the Plain Dealer.

Would we really use not only the 7th but also other picks on a safety? I mean, I like the Berry pick pretty well, but at a franchise QB-esque price?

Shit. I don't know.

No. I don't see us trading up for Berry. I could even see Berry falling to us and not picking him. Will love to see the utterances of negativy coming from the doomsayers in here then. Would be pretty classic.

Yeah right. Like the Browns are bringing in every qb in sight for private workouts, when it's for sure we aren't drafting one in the first round. Mangini already tipped the Browns hand- if "the guy" isn't there at seven, we're trading down again.

Berry's off the board, it's gonna be Hayden.

Do YOU (TBPP) have anyone you want the Browns to pick? Are you going to put yourself on the line?

Or are you fine with whatever the Browns do?
---------------------------------------------------------------

Since you want to see how everybody else reacts "not getting thier picks", what's yours so we can all do the same?

I would be disappointed if the Browns didn't take Berry (if he was there at #7) but that wouldn't drive me away. I have plenty of "scar tissue" as a Browns fan, where I can get over just about anything.

Which would be the single most depressing #7 pick ever.

I've stated my desire half a dozen times in various threads, but I'll state them again to appease you, since you seem to be calling me out.

In the first round I want Haden, Berry, or Mcclain. I think we can trade down several spots and still land one of these guys. So I guess you would say I am hoping for a trade down scenario.

I also would like to see us use some of our other picks to trade up into the end of the first round to make sure we land Mccoy, as well as Golden Tate. I think we can land both of these players pretty easily with all of the picks we can use to trade up, and it would make me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

That work for ya? (and yes, ultimately I am going to be happy with whatever the Browns do, as I am going to trust their judgment over mine any day of the week)

You're right. Haden would be so much more depressing than Reggie Rogers.

Well played.

Quote:
Reggie Rogers (born January 21, 1964 in Sacramento, California) is a former professional American football defensive tackle who played four seasons in the National Football League for the Detroit Lions (1987-1988), the Buffalo Bills (1991), and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1992). He is also the younger brother of former Cleveland Browns safety Don Rogers, who died of cocaine poisoning in June 1986.
Rogers was chosen seventh overall by the Lions in the 1987 NFL draft. However, he only played six games of his rookie season due to a slew of emotional problems, even spending time in a counseling center.[1] His sophomore season ended after only five games when his car struck another vehicle and killed three teenagers. He was later found to have a blood alcohol content of 0.15, just over the legal limit.[2] The Lions waived him in July 1989, not because of the felony charges, but because he broke his neck in the accident.[3] In 1990, he was convicted of vehicular homicide and sentenced to 16 months in prison.[2] After brief stints with the Buffalo Bills and Tampa Bay Buccaneers out of prison, Rogers was out of football entirely by the end of the 1992 season.
Rogers is often considered one of the biggest draft busts in NFL history. In 2008, ESPN named him the 13th-biggest bust since the AFL-NFL merger.[4] A year earlier, Yahoo! Sports named him the worst #7 pick since the merger.[5]
On November 26, 2008, Rogers was involved in a hit-and-run accident in Tukwila, Washington that resulted in his arrest and a charge of DUI. It was his fifth arrest for DUI in the state of Washington, dating back to his college days at the University of Washington.[6]

Works for me. Although I would have Berry rated above Haden. I'm not too familiar with McClain that much. I think it will be tough to trade down, but I'm all for it.

We will have to start a WISH thread just before the draft.

I hope Myself we draft the BPA....Teams that draft solely on the basis of need like weve done the past decade + seem to flounder.
