KoK brought up my favorite coach in the world (unless Urban Meyer goes on a National Championship run): Marty.

I still believe we made a mistake by not aggressively pursuing Marty after he was fired from SD (which has been simply astounding since he was canned...)

Cowher is another guy that we should have moved heaven and earth to get. Heaven and earth can still be moved to bring him to CLE. He coaches and plays the kind of hard-nosed football that Browns need.

Does anyone think a Cowher-led team would have just walked off the field after Harrison blasted McCoy, or that there wouldn't have been retaliation on the very next play?

If he want's to stay back behind the scenes, then Eric Mangini should be working through his 3rd season as the HC of the Cleveland Browns.

And the only reason I (and TBPP) continue to harp on this, is because Holmgren fired Mangini because of wins and losses. Those were Holmgrens words. He isn't owning them (with his comments about keeping Mangini was a waste last year due to differing mindsets).

The way I look at it, is fat fucking Mike is a liar. A disingenuous bastard that talks from both sides of his mouth only to save his own credibility. Except it's having the opposite effect.

So eat one, Walrus. I gave you over two years of respect and credibility. No more. I'll continue to bitch and whine about your shitty, antiquated football mind and your staff until you start winning games. Is that bandwagon-y? Maybe. But I've fucking earned it. We all have.
Clap. Clap. Clap. F-in'. Clap.

Note: bolded. Love. It.

I believe jake(Delhomme) is a top QB with some good football left in him. uh huh.
heckert:
we think Hardesty is going to be a top runner so we are set at RB
we like our Oline and think Pashos is a very solid RT( I laughed at that one)
we like our WRs and don't need to sign any veteran talent.
WE need to go in a different Direction at FB( straight down)

add to we lose Rob Ryan and Brad seeley and got our vanilla DC and you can see why we have taken steps back and tackle and cover poorly.

Pushing out mangini and making a hash out of your hire. why did we not interview more candidates and just hire uncle Fritz's nephew( In way over his head and out coached every week. west coast offense and we score less points than the talentless 1999 Browns.

year 2 of Mike is far worse than year one.

when you bullshit knowledgeable fans they start to question you.
First followed all the protocols checking Colt and days later mikey says he was never checked for concussion. what BS.

Oh. My. God.

I'd temporarily forgotten about Jake Delhomme (and how he was "The guy" according to Walrus). Systolic is currently rising.....

Now I'm remembering his contract. Eyeballs throbbing...

We actually tried to play him again once he recovered from his 1st injury. EFF!! Nose is bleeding...

But Pluto's real point is that it's silly that Holmgren Heckert and Shurmur don't want to admit thier mistakes. That they want to blame previous regimes and expect everyoen to genuflect before them because they are "different than before".

You seem happy to kneel at their alter unquestionably. Some of us aren't.

You see when you make bad decisions you become defensive and the You're either for us or against us is telling in that Mikey KNOWS he blew it yet will not tolerate any criticism of the press DOING THEIR JOB to accurately report reality. Shurmur continues to make mind numbing stupid calls in crunch time and Mikey says don't come to me for playoff tickets? I mean pumping sunshine up the press behind is something even a blowhard like Mikey can't pull off.
