He's under heavy consideration to be our next HC.

If he is hired I would suggest to invest in Hometown Buffet as dude is hungry; REALLY hungry

As for a coach....meh, all of our coaches have sucked

You wont find much love for him here although he was part of a 10-6 team, which I fear we wont see again for a very long time. Maybe he will be better his 2nd time around. Id take him over shurmur but not over mangini. He's a players coach so the team will love him

RAC is a players coach to a fault.
He is very likeable but not HC material, defensive coordinator on the right staff he is a good bet but he isn't a HC.

Likeable guy, great guy. Phenomenal DC. Not so great HC. Looks at managing games as a pure defensive guy where he tries to not let the other team win, as opposed to trying to score more points than the other team. His fatal flaw. e.g. 1st & goal = send out the FG unit.

Also, get ready for some fat jokes.

I second the Hometown Buffet comment.

And Danamal's comments.

He's a good guy, great coordinator, but not a great HC. Maybe he will learn from his failure in Cleveland and be okay for you guys..

You will be changing coaches 1 or 2 years down the line, I guarantee it. I haven't hated a coach more than I hated Romeo. No emotion, total wuss in press conferences, he just sucks. The team plays hard for him because they want to keep the 'country club' atmosphere going. He doesnt inspire the players to be great. The only reason we had a 10-6 season under him is because we had 5 winless teams on the docket that year

Gochiefs, thanks for stopping by. You will get some great responses on this question, that's for sure.

Crennel is a grandfather-figure and not a head coach, bottom line. He coddled Braylon Edwards and Kellen Winslow III and almost certainly contributed to their sense of entitlement. Neither has proven to be great professionals but while they were here they were allowed to act as if they were Pro Bowlers. That's all on RAC.

He is simply not the man you want to be the face of your franchise for the long-term. He'll be 65 this year. He's had health issues. He's a proven failure at HC.

He is a great guy to have on your staff for the same reasons he's a liability as HC but as Legacy Fan stated, he is somewhat antiquated in his notions of how to win football games. He will set your offense back 20 years.

The job was too big for him first time around. Perhaps it wouldn't be on the second go-around.

That's it in a nutshell.

I loved RAC as a person (well, as much as you can love someone you've never met and don't know). He was a likeable guy and seemed to genuinely care about people.

But he wasn't a good HC. He just didn't seem to have it. As others have said, he was a players coach. There was little to no discipline on his team.

As a DC he's great...but someone needs to really hold the reins and he's not it.

RAC 'n ROLLS is a damn good man who knows the game well, but leans too much toward letting the inmates run the asylum and tends to be ultra conservative as most D-coordinators are. He also gives headaches out at pressers with his lame responses.

Then there is the problem of fried chicken smelling up the entire facility.
