I believe Colt is a good QB and great competitor and needs more time to reach his ceiling... BUT Nickers...

I don't think Seneca had much more time than Colt does. He stood there with the pressure in his face and stepped into throws. At least on multiple occasions.

McCoy tucks and runs too frequently when the pressure gets near him. A lot of the time he CREATES sacks because the defenders fall off their blocks and onto him when he tries scrambling.

You have to understand something...Seneca has been in this system for what?...9yr's?...he's a veteran thats grown in this system and understands when and where the receivers are supposed to cut and break...he knows the hot reads. He's not complete garbage. On the other hand...He's not gonna beat many teams by Himself. Give Colt a real offseason in this system, and then judge him after hes had a real camp to work on his hitch steps. It takes time getting timing with WR's despite the fact ours suck. I believe Holmgren said he likes to see a QB play 36 games before rendering a final judgment on his talent. Lets see if that in fact happens. I wouldnt bet on it...but ya never know.

Anybody that watched Wallace last year saw pretty bad pocket presence. He has a real annoying habit of drifting backward in the pocket when someone gets penetration upfield rather than cutting up inside to buy more time or scramble. This is one of the reason he throws so many balls away.

Nice call Riffer. I noticed that as well about Wallace. Colt will get that pocket presence. I think he may be a bit gunshy after having to play this year getting hammered all the time.. It will come in time..

Wallace is as Wallace does. He's a veteran who has the same bad habits, only see's half the field. He's a backup. Colt is a better QB than Wallace, IMO. Wallace isn't BAD in a pinch but I don't want to see him more than closing out the year.

BROWNS 2012: Its Weeden's job to lose, it was the second we took him #22 overall.
We had a pretty good draft, and I'd like to start seeing some results.
Fans already looking to next year and I don't blame them.
I think we will have things to be excited about that we lacked last year and we have some real facepalm moments just like last year.
It's going to be tough.
We aren't Barking Hard for nothing.
