So if the team does not play hard and Colt is not playing due to the concussion.... what's that have to do with Colt's future?? Maybe that's an indictment of Wallace. Just playing devils advocate there.. I do agree wholeheartedly.. I want to see this team fight like crazy these last 2 games. I watched to Colts last night win game #2 in a row. They played to the end. First time EVER a team with 1 win, defeated a team with 10 or more wins. They also kept alive the streak of Houston NEVER winning in their house. That's the kind of heart I want to see. People wondered if Caldwell would survive the season... I don't think that's in doubt anymore.. he's there to stay. I want to see that kind of heart. Granted.. even with 2 wins.. the Colts have 10x the talent that we have so I don't think we have much hope of winning against Balt or Pitts...But I want to see us play hard. That will bump up Shurmer or lower him a bit in my book depending upon what I see the next 2 weeks... As for the draft. I don't see us drafting a QB high. Colt will be the guy going into next year. I do see a QB taken with a later pick possibly.. I like the kid we have that we got from the Rams... He has some potential.. So who knows.. I think it depends upon what the powers that be think of him and his future. If they like what he's done.. we may not take anyone.

I think evaluating McCoy is a completely separate entity to the Matt Leinart sequel at USC. He has no bearing on McCoy's grade or projection. Having said that, if McCoy is deemed NOT to be the answer - then HOW SMART is keeping him around like we did Mangini if the front office doesn't like him? It's been implied by a lot of fans that all we gotta do is find another breathing human to upgrade our QB position: male or female. I had a real cornhusker love at McDonald's waiting on me and all I could think of was what she would like like in a sporting a #17 Browns' jersey coming out of our huddle. Nothing like a little "Welcome to Cleveland where the men are men, the women are too and the sheep are scared!" Evidently, this has been the easiest city in America to play QB while Colt McCoy is the only one that couldn't handle such utopian circumstances. Upgrading the QB sounds every bit as easy as upgrading Mangini was. Looking forward to it. This has been wonderful sincea couple weeks ago in 1999. When Rip Van Winkle wakes up, we can tell him he hasn't missed a thing.
