Default Braylon Edwards released by the 49ers

Per his twitter acct:

OfficialBraylon
I was released today by the 49ers due to my injury that required more time to rehab and hasn’t allowed me to re-sync with the offense....

How the mighty have fallen. And I'm not talking about Braylon - I'm talking about me. I can't believe I've sunk so low to think that we ought to kick the tires again. Man, our WRs are awesome.

Just another example of a guy who had all the physical skills but his work ethic was his achilles heal.

And to N2N's point, he had ALL the physical tools. What a frame, great leaping ability, and run away from DB's type speed.

Boy, if he was playing at 90% of his physical ceiling and wearing a Brown's uniform we'd be watching a different offense this year. (This, of course, presumes his locker room presence would have been a neutral at worst.)

Oh well, into next year's draft we go seeking help at WR (among other positions).

Wait I thought we were stupid for letting him go? Guess you can add the 49ers in with us and Jets as the morons who let Edwards "get away."

It's too bad we didn't get more out of that trade: Shawn Lauvao's all that's left from the deal.

Wow, what were the 49'ers thinking? Guys, I think the sun is shining on us today ...it's time to put the idea of drafting a #1 receiver to rest, let's just got get this stud!

Mangini's trash is another teams treasure ...it just so happens, he'll be our treasure again.

Can't even believe anyone would consider bringing that guy back here. He can thank Joe Jurevicius for his one good year in the NFL.
