I think if you measure the pulse of the organization the impression most likely would be that they feel McCoy has developed some and has room to grow. The feeling has to be that they have to bring in some offensive parts that can make an impact. All will agree that WR is the #1 priority. That doesn't mean it will be the #1 pick because Blackmon may be gone and no one else is good enough to be drafted there. FA is also an option to find some pieces.

I think everyone in Berea has resigned themselves to the fact that Hillis will find another home and move on. That now means we have to find an every down back to go with Jackson, Obi and maybe hardesty if he can regain his speed and quickness. But, big backs or every down backs can be had after the first round of the draft so I hope that Richardson isn't even a guy they are looking at. I would much rather add a guy like Ball in the second or third round.

The feeling has to be that we got the most you could hope for out of Pashos this year and if he's hear next year you won't get much more. Pinkston is still a project and in no way ready to step in as a RT. He couldn't handle the speed or strength of the guards this year, so he has to get bigger and work on his foot work and technique before he can be considered a prospect to take over at RT. So, I do think you have to address RT with one of your top 4 picks.

Jauron has been making it know that the team needs quicker and stouter LBs and a pass rusher. If you can't stop the run then you aren't going to win many games. Jackson played well but he is too small to be an impact MLB in a 4-3 system. He's best suited for a WSL because he has problems getting off tackles and fighting through bodies in the middle.

There is a chance that Watson won't return next year or if he does he's one concussion from retirement. I watched how important good TE play helped teams this weekend. WE have okay TEs but we don't have elite TEs. Guys who can block and also get separation from LBs and a safety. Many might not agree but I'd love to have a TE like Gronkowski. Watson seems to have lost a step, smith can block but isn't a solid receiver and the others are glorified slot receivers that can't block.

Bottom line is we have to have a premier WR. We also need to upgrade the RB position, RT, DE and OLB. Plus ther are positions that need depth and upgrading like TE, FS, Guard and corner.

I think this organization wants to keep adding parts and hopefully hit a home run with a few impact players and hope the QB position can improve by the addition of better players. I don't think RGIII is an option but he could help us with a trade down if Blackmon is gone. Washington, Seattle, Miami may want to fight over him.

I do think Holmgren will take a look a Flynn but I don't know if he's that big of an upgrade over McCoy. There's a very good chance that McCoy will be our QB next year. With that I'd love to add Blackmon and Ball to the mix. Much more then I'd like to add Richardson and Wright. Somehow I'd love to add a guy to the defense like Burfict or Nick Perry or Whitney Mercilus. But, offense has to be first and I don't think adding a QB that needs to be developed will win us any more games. This team has to add impact players.

If Pinkston is a project, why not try to pick up a veteran RT in FA? If the vet is good, Pinkston can learn from him and we don't have to use a draft pick?

(I would almost argue this entire argument applies to Pinkston starting a guard too... at times he looked like he was twice the player Lauvao was, and half the player though equally as inconsistent, he's got the higher ceiling IMO)

(I said in another thread that if you draft a QB, you go equal or better value than Colt McCoy, under no circumstance do you aim lower. If we keep Wallace again next year, great, if not, sign a FA who is better than Seneca... Or go for Flynn to push Colt and compete but make it known at the onset that the #1 job is up for grabs and belongs to nobody. Make both QB's EARN it like it should be.)

We had a pretty good draft, and I'd like to start seeing some results.
Fans already looking to next year and I don't blame them.
I think we will have things to be excited about that we lacked last year and we have some real facepalm moments just like last year.
It's going to be tough.
We aren't Barking Hard for nothing.

Because, tackles have become a premium position that you have to spend a high pick on if you don't have them. All you get in the fa market is overpriced that is either average at best, injury pronged, rapidly declining skills or combinations of the previously mentioned.
You only get the luxary of developing later round picks into starters if you have good coaching and someone to hold the fort. We've been using fa tackles for years and its been killing our qbs.

The Browns and Indians owners need to sell...period. Until that happens, they will continue to suck. The Cavs have bottomed out, and are on the way up again with the young talent they have acquired this year. And why is there a ray of hope with them....because they have an owner who cares about winning and doing what it takes to win. The Browns and the Tribe don't have owners who care...they just care about dollars and cents.

I'm still a huge Cleveland sports fan, but my eyes have been opened in the last few years.....I won't be fooled anymore by shitty owners.
