the west coast offense is dead. sheard is a definite keeper. TJ ward needs to stay healthy. RT is a huge need. massaquoi has no right to be in the NFL. norwood, moore, and cribbs have the only reliable hands on the team. shurmur has no testosterone. hardesty is worthless. the FO needs to re-sign hillis—there's no need to create another hole on an already thin team. there's not much positive to say about this year. the team didn't play better as the season progressed. the same issues that were there in the beginning were there at the end; if anything, they got worse. i know that stability is they key to building a winning program, but why stick with something that obviously doesn't work? |

Except I'll say shurmur not only lacks testosterone, he lacks balls. |

Well done everyone. Anyone notice the BALLS Jim Harbaugh has to reward his team's efforts all day long with? He'll take a 4th down and prefer to score a TD instead of kicking it or punting it into an end zone. Anyway, their game winning pass came from place kicker David Akers to a Michael Crabtree standing all by himself on the left sideline. And then we UNDERSTAND what makes a team rallying around a coach who believes in them in going for the win instead of playing footsies with the football on 4th down. Remember Sean Payton kicking the onside kick to Indy which changed the momentum/complexion of the game in favor of the Saints. When you add 2 testicles to the Ain'ts you get the Superbowl Champion Saints. When you castrate all the sweat that defense gave on the day - you deserve to see your punt become a touch-back. What difference does it make if Pittsburgh beats us by 4 points or 10 points when your goal for the day isn't to score 1 offensive TD? This game doesn't reward teams that want to play chicken-shit football. It rewards the guys like Payton and Harbaugh. The last thing my dad said about this team before he died was "Oh my God! They fired Mangini for this pussy?" He was always a lot more patient and positive with things than me because he experienced the titles/championships this franchise won. I haven't and it's starting to look like we're about 20 years away from the urgency of winning.

Two great posts here. JD and n2n, I agree with both of you. I think we CAN turn the ship around. Hopefully they are as aware of the teams needs. We shal see in the offseason how things shake out but changes NEED to be made for the team to grow. Quote:

__________________ BROWNS 2012: Its Weeden's job to lose, it was the second we took him #22 overall. We had a pretty good draft, and I'd like to start seeing some results. Fans already looking to next year and I don't blame them. I think we will have things to be excited about that we lacked last year and we have some real facepalm moments just like last year. It's going to be tough. We aren't Barking Hard for nothing. WOOF WOOF WOOF! ![]() |
