Default The way I see it... We can go one of 2 ways...

Way #1 (My personal preferred choice)

TRADE DOWN

Yeah I said it...... I'm not afraid to back it up either.....

Sadly... Colt Mccoy will be our QB next year folks... The coaching staff still needs to see more.
With Miami, Washington, and Seattle looking for QB's, expect them to take our pick, and give us theres plus next years in a Deja-Vu ATL/CLE fashion. Which makes sense to me because (IMHO) RGIII has some serious accuracy issues not shown in the stats, but in the tape, he throws many wobbly balls... yes he has a cannon... but it can be scattershot, watch some highlights of Kendall Wright making crazy comeback catches.... or being 5 steps ahead of the coverage at all times. My opinion may be rare... but seriously.. go take a look... watch that shit happen multiple times. Plus theres some legit top prospect QB's next year if Mccoy doesnt pan out, like my favorite... Matt Barkley,

With our number ONE pick..... it will be:

Riley Reiff, OT, Iowa

We need a RT bad, and although he is listed at LT, he can play RT in the NFL, he's pretty balanced and extremely athletic, exactly what you need in a WCO tackle. PLus he's great insurance in case the unthinkable happens. Heckert is smart... and he knows the battle is won in the trenches.

you all probably hate me now huh?

With our number TWO pick in the first round... we select:

Michael Floyd, WR, Notre Dame

Size...6'3 218 CHECK..... Speed 4.48 CHECK..... Ball skills.... CHECK.... YAC ability... CHECK.
This guy has it all. He attacks the ball, he's aggressive, he's intelligent, yeah.... he HAD some issues... but who hasnt? This guy is the complete package. Sticky hands, he catches in traffic extremely well, he can ADJUST TO THE BALL and lastly.... he makes it look good...

Second option.......

Give in to the hype...

Robert Griffin, QB, Baylor

Okay so he's on the shorter side, but then again so is Vick, and Griffin III has some wheels. Although he may not be the best prospect, the kid is intelligent, athletic, well spoken, takes good care of the football, and he's a flat out winner. On a team like the Browns, we need someone who can make plays, and that's all this guy knows how to do.... judging by his insane stat line.

291 for 402 (72%), 4293 yards, 37 TD's, 6 interceptions

SURPRISE!!!

Kendall Wright, WR, Baylor

The dynamic duo that shocked the collegiate football world. Tom Heckert gets a DeSean Jackson 2.0 to pair with Greg Little, Browns fans get their burner, Cleveland copies the yellow brick road Cinci layed (Green/Dalton), and we hopefully hit a home run. This guys is BLAZING fast, already has the hands DeSean had to work to obtain, and runs great routes... I like this guy better than Griffin III..
108 passes, 1663yds, 14td........
Dont really need a video.... just look at all of Griffons passes

On the Record, I like Melvin Ingram in the second, and a CB in the third

I don't agree with an OT in round 1 BUT if Blackmon is gone and we can't get a deal to grab Luck... then I wouldn't mind a trade down (again).

Think of what Dan Snyder would throw at us to get RGIII.

Hey... Joe Thomas.... and didnt we just draft a line plugger on D? IMHO a T in the top will instantly make our line the best in the league, plus some insurance if the unthikable happens to Joe Thomas, plus we'd have that other 1st this year for our playmaker, and get a second first next year.... definitely worth the RT in the top I'd say

After seeing the Fiesta Bowl, we NEED luck - yes he will cost a lot, but he makes the guys around him better.

If we can't get Luck, Blackmon looks good - the guy has speed and power (that 4th down conversion showed his power when he punted that defender).

I don't like the idea of taking a guy at one position and trying to move him to the other with our first pick (is it a #4 or #5?) - that's really high to take a 'project'. Better to get the best true RT available later in the 1st or 2nd round.

Otherwise, try to trade out of that early first round position.

LOL @ LT, especially the one you picked at #4.

Luck or BUST.

I guess I would take RG III and a #1 WR as a consolation prize, but either way we have to trade up.

Tbpp did you actually read what I wrote? Miami Seattle and Washington may all be looking to take our pick. We can get an additional first from them. Take that tackle around Seattle/Washington's pick... not the 4th.

This way we have 4 first Rounders, 2 this year, 2 next year. Its belichek esque.
This way we get our number 1 guy at wr (Floyd) and we cement our oline. That way colt has no excuses next year, if he fails, we take usc's golden child for qb and he will have a bad ass cockpit all ready.

If McCoy is the real deal then we have 2 firsts next year to take bpa!!
This shit is chess it ain't checkers!!!

One of those teams will be trading up with one of the teams in front of us IMO. We're stuck at 4 unless we make a move up ourselves.

It's early, but that sounds right to me.

Please say no to Floyd. If not Blackmon then Wright but not Floyd. Runs poor routes, is slow and has a bad attitude and questionable character.

Blackmon is Crabtree with a better attitude and better work ethic. Fights for balls and works his ass off to get separation.

I'll go with a trade down if Blackmon isn't there but if it's into the middle of the first then I want Vontaze Burfict over Reiff. I don't want to stockpile draft picks just to say we have a lot of picks. I want impact players. If we can trade down a few spots and still get an impact player with our #1 first round pick then that's ok.

As always, FA will have a say in the direction we go in round one. WR, RT, DE, OLB and RB are going to be priorities. I hear Hillis wants to move on and has told the FO he wants to test FA.

JMO but I don't think any RB is worth a top first round pick unless you have all the other pieces. If you can't pass the ball you lose, so this team has to find the best playmakers at WR.

So basically..... What PGL is REALLY trying to say is.... The only option is to burn both firsts on the offense THEN a first next year on offense.... I see said the blind man....
