Its a paradox, despite his lackadaisical attitude on the field and minimal play time (wonder if there's ANY connection, maybe Shurmur does have a head on those shoulders?) he still tied the team lead for Touchdowns with Cribbs.

He's a SMART guy, even if it's not in his heart, unlike managment, Evan Moore knows what to say when he needs to, he can come off like he's got it in his heart to play football, and maybe he does. With the way the team was this season I can see why a lot of players were dragging their asses. A coach who looks like he would be a complete joke in terms of motivating players, it just doensn't add up to me.

A coach needs to be a motivator, I've played sports and athletes carry their hearts on their sleeves. The Coach needs to be the guy to lift the spirits if players cannot and I don't think a whole lot of players on the team spent time playing flag bearer this year so there's always that.

I'm diving off topic here. I don't know if I want to write Moore off, but I agree with Riffer and Golfer... I don't know if he's the future. We NEED a TE, IMO. Watson regressed this season, even w/ the new coaching and struggled with injuries. Cameron is still new enough that maybe with a new OC (Childress has a grasp of the fundamentals hopefully? someone clarify this haha) maybe he will learn some things and maybe Evan Moore will find his motivation for football again.

We had a pretty good draft, and I'd like to start seeing some results.
Fans already looking to next year and I don't blame them.
I think we will have things to be excited about that we lacked last year and we have some real facepalm moments just like last year.
It's going to be tough.
We aren't Barking Hard for nothing.

If it means anything... Cameron Jordan turns into a beast on Madden... so logically that means he's gonna be a beast... right?

Joking aside, I agree. After next season we will need a TE unless Watson is released this year and or Moore/Jordan step up. I'd really like to see Jordan turn into a Jimmy Graham. Just sayin.

Neither Gocong or Moore has any of their contract guaranteed for next year.

BTW, what do you expect Moore to say........................."I'm going into the offseason and don't plan to do shit".

Not that I don't like him, but he needs to step up or he will have another forgettable season in 2012. I hope he does work to become a complete TE. Just sayin, his effort at practice this year was lacking the same as it was under Mangini, thus the frequent trips to the doghouse under both coaches.

If he had a little of Josh Cribbs in him he could be a real star because he does have the talent.

As far as QB, you never know............. but Holmgren said last week that we didn't put two year into developing McCoy to let him walk when he is just starting to get it. At this point in time that really doesn't mean shit and could be a smoke screen.

So, you are right, we may all be surprised who will be at QB next year. Fact is it won't matter if they don't bring in some playmakers to help him succeed.

I swear against Pit, he wanted out of the game. I thought he got another concussion because someone tackled him. Then he was easily taken down before he got out of bounds, but he looked like Ozzie would look now running after the catch. He also had a great opportunity on a pretty well thrown pass by Wallace in the end zone and jumped like Greg Little or Laimbeer. MoMass is the only guy who can jump, but he jumps before the ball is there or even if the ball isn't there.

My point? The Browns may have thought it was a good idea to sign him up, but it looks like to me he is a guy collecting a check and awaiting law school after a couple more seasons. He is an absolute liability in blocking and really can't be called a TE, but more of a slow slot guy. Fact is, Watson is looking injury concussion prone too and may not be able to be counted on for next year. Cameron is in no way a blocker, and even trying to use these guys against the likes of Harrison to get rag dolled is bad business. A true blocking style dual threat TE may be another need for this team too, and who would have ever thought that prior to the season?
LMAO at that outrageous subject heading. You and KOKs kill me with those freakin nick names.

We don't really have a dual purpose TE when Watson's dome has him parked in blue jeans. They all looked like Raggedy Andy trying to set the edge for the running game.
