If we land Blackmon.. and ANY of the top WR's :Like V Jax, D jax, Steve Smith, D Bowe, Reggie Wayne.. would be killer!

However: Even if we got one of the 2nd tier guys such as: Pierre Garcon, Mario Manningham, Robert Meachum, Laurent Robinson or a Brandon Lloyd..would make an very big difference.. but one of the top tier guys is TRULY what we need.

After this list of guys... there is slim pickins.. Mike wallace is there but restricted and Pitts is not letting him go anywhere. and Welker will not leave NE to come here either. Could you imagine stealing Wallace from Pitts with a number they don't want to match.. that would be increadible.

IF he does though, hats off to Heckert!
Remember when a few on here wanted to trade both firsts for him last season and a 2nd for Danny Amendola? Good times.

Anyways you're right, if he hits F.A we probably have no shot. Just a hunch but I think the Pats jump all over him. Unfortunately the most likely FA WR we could get to come here that ISN'T a bottom of the barrel type is MeSean due to familiarity with Heckert and Shurmur Soft.

If we somehow snagged Wallace,His production would double what hes doing in Stoolerville being that were running a passing offense meaning, more touches for Wallace.

Idk where the "MeSean" stuff came from. The guy has been one of their best players since being drafted and they shit all over him come contract time while they went out and landed those big time FAs who ultimately did squat for them.

No wonder the dude is mad.

I call him that because instead of dealing with the situation staring him in the face and saying "f' these guys i'm going to light it up and get a huge contract elsewhere, hopefully a rival and show them they screwed up" the guy retreats into self pity and self doubt moping around all season because he wasn't paid. As the saying goes, man up and handle your business Jackson.

Trust me.. DeSean will get paid and paid well this year. The pouting will be long forgotten once he starts running by db's for those long bombs. He's exciting to watch.. My biggest complaint is that he dissapears for several games in a row.. I like him..but I like bigger recievers for my #1.. But I would not complain if we got him that's for sure. Personally my first choice would be to get Wallace and if we have to give up a pick in the process.. so be it. It would be just one pick for a proven, amazing #1.

Agree with those who don't think we'll get V Jackson. He's gonna get his cash but from a perennial contender(probably Pats or Philly if DeSean leaves). Just don't think those premiere players want to be in Cleveland with all the work that needs to be done. Manningham is a possibility but know very little of his situation. Not always healthy but a player when he's in. My gut feeling that the play we're gonna make is a move for Blackmon. All depends on the vibe Rams and Vikes put out there. Don't know what it would take to assure that pick for us but believe it's well worth a try.

I agree that he could have handled it better but the guy can play and I'd be all for him coming here, granted we go out and try to build an offense, not just sign him then call it a day.

Blackmon and Desean are a possibility. How excited to be a Browns fan would you be if they landed both of them and someone like LaMichael James?
