There were comments above about taking the BPA, which some say is RG3 even at #2. Some even say Blackmon isn't even the best WR. Now, some may or may not agree here, but one of those experts is Mel Kiper. They recently updated his 'Big Board' which is a listing of player's overall value, not a mock draft. A ranking of value independent of the draft. Since I'm not an ESPN insider anymore, they only show the top 5 that I can see, which seems reasonable since the Browns are picking at #4. So who is in the top 5 overall players with regards to pure value?

1: Andrew Luck
2: Matt Kalil
3: Trent Richardson
4: Morris Claiborne
5: Justin Blackmon

Hmmm. . . RG3 is conveniently missing from this list. However I do see a few other positions of potential need. Are these the top potential 5 "can't miss" prospects? That's certainly what I'd like to be spending money on in the top of the draft, a "Can't Miss" prospect. If RG3 isn't even in the top 5 best players avaliable (according to Kiper, of course), why would we draft him at 4 when we could improve our O-Line, replace a RB who may be leaving, or address a glaring need at WR.

RGIII is 6th on Kipers big board. He is 2nd on some other boards.

Interesting that Blackmon seems to be dropping on a lot of boards and some scouts and coaches saying that he isn't close to Green or Jones from last year as a #1 WR. They are saying he is more like a A. Boldin type of receiver.

I think boards are all over the place now and they will stabilize after the combine.

One thing I do see is Jrs. dominating the top of the draft again this year.
