Sources: Tony Grossi Pulled from Browns Beat Over Randy Lerner Tweet Posted by Vince Grzegorek on Wed, Jan 25, 2012 at 2:07 PM ![]() Multiple sources tell Scene Tony Grossi is no longer the Browns beat writer for the Plain Dealer as of today. Last week, Grossi accidentally tweeted the following about Randy Lerner: "He is a pathetic figure, the most irrelevant billionaire in the world." He has lost his post as a result of that. He was in hot water with his editors and bosses at the PD over the inadvertent tweet, which displayed a huge bias — hatred even — toward the Browns' owner. There was an obvious question whether he could objectively continue to cover the beat, the answer to which came when the Plain Dealer weighed in today with the move. Managing Editor Thomas Fladung had no comment when reached by Scene. We've emailed Tony Grossi for comment as well. http://www.clevescene.com/scene-and-...y-lerner-tweet

I think that means Mary Kay Cabot becomes the main beat writer for the browns. Shit My left toenail knows more about the browns than that clueless bimbo.

But there are plenty of real reporters out there, TBPP. Guys and girls who have a passion for great stories, for context, for elucidation. Don't hate on journalists and reporters for the sins of the profit-driven media market. I'm really excited for this opportunity to see some young blood step up. Maybe someone who can actually use Twitter properly! |

Lol, sad day when the bootlicker gets axed because he's tired as hell of the same shit we are.

I would love to see Pluto take a more active role in covering the team again.

grossi was bent that triv got the lerner interview. he also started to beleive he knew more about football than the browns.(which may sound funny seeing the lack of success, but a personal attack from grossi was stupid. grossi has made alot of cash doing his so called reporting and was givin a lot of leeway when it came to the browns.) Plain Dealer has little to zero cred as a real newspaper.
