You're surprised by that? |

Haley likes to run the show and not be questioned. He had problems in AZ with Warner and had problems with his coordinators in KC. I think Ben gets the last word and outlasts him..............................I would lease if I was him. |

He moved around a lot due to his early success as a coach. 2000: Jets WR coach. Helped Keyshawn Johnson get to his second Pro Bowl. 2001 - 2003: Bears WR coach. Helped Marty Booker become the first Bears Pro Bowl WR since 1971. 2004 - 2006: Cowboys WR/Passing Game coordinator. Helped develop Tony Romo. 2007 - 2008: Cardinals OC. He didn't start calling plays till late in 07 but the Cardinals finished the year in the top half of the NFL in multiple offensive catagories. In 08 he helped guide the team to their first Super Bowl appearance in franchise history. Cardinals were 4th overall on offense in 08 and had the 2nd best passing attack. His time in KC wasn't amazing but he did lead them to the division crown and a playoff spot in 2010. This was the first time they captured the NFC West since 2003. He may not have been a great HC but don't let his moving around fool you, the guy is a great positions/coordinator coach.

tomlin was part of the interview process, but it was known that he wanted to keep arians and was overruled (who gets fired after a 12-4 season except marty?). rooney's feel that the team is getting away from "the standard", with the crazy salary cap problems, lack of running game, and gimmicky offense. ben wants to throw the ball, and they'll continue to do it.....however..... whats at issue is ben longevity....rooney's invested heavily in ben and want him for many more years, but the beating he is taking from his style of play is shortening his career. haley is there to reigh in ben a bit and make him get rid of the ball....something arians could not get him to do. haley's ties to the team certainly dont hurt, but it'll certainly be interesting how this team performs. woodley, timmons, taylor have all restructured contracts, ward, ben, and a few others have offered the same. even without hoke and big snack, they've still gotta shave 5 million for rookie contracts and enough room to sign wallce. even the fan guys are calling this the steelers soap opera..... |
