Colt McCoy

What is everyones' feeling on Colt McCoy in the 2nd? I think he would be a great fit in a WC offense. Smart, accurate, few mistakes. I think if we can get Berry and McCoy in the draft, it's a definite A+ for Holmgren and crew.

I'm not without reservations... but I also have some faith in the brass, at least for now. If they think McCoy is real, I'm down with it.

I could see the Vikings taking him, though. Might need to trade up.

Agreed, we have WAY too many holes to give up all it will take to get him.

I'd be nervous about trading three high picks for Bradford, frankly. He has some transitioning to do... not unlike Alex Smith.

I feel good about Colt McCoy... I like his mental makeup, that toughness and desire will help him a lot at the next level. He will be good to learn the system for a season, maybe two. I think he will be a better QB than Brady Quinn. I think at this point, he's the QB I'd like us to have most.

Only if he's there with our actual 2nd rounder..no tradeups.. I like him a bit more than some..but still skeptical of this years overall qb class being franchise type guys.. That being said.. I think he's really a 3rd rounder in any other qb class.. but because this is a weak class IMO he may go in the 2nd.

What do I think? I think i'm tired of people putting "Browns" and "WCO" in the same sentence. In fact I am tired of it. We're not a WCO, we don't run the WCO, and Mike Holmgren isn't coaching this team(that's more in reference to the clueless fucks on ESPN who're saying we'll draft McCoy because he's a fit for Holmgrens WCO). Eric Mangini is coaching this team and his base is a Patriots offense.

It's a WCO/NCO hybrid. Combo power running game with some West Coast mixed in. I love it and McCoy is perfecto to run it, so he is worth moving up into the first to get.
