Default Predictions Sure to Go Wrong - A 7 Round Mock

Ah, yes... my annual pillar of prognostication. The 2010 Mock Draft. This is entirely unscientific in nature. Based on previous year's editions, errors and omissions may include, but are not limited to the following:

1.) Drafting the same player twice

2.) Drafting a deceased player

3.) Failing to include a player that was subsequently drafted in the second round

4.) Drafting 3 outside linebackers on a single team... consecutively

5.) Drafting players who are still in college

6.) Drafting players that were drafted last year

7.) Misspelling a players name

8.) Mis-identifying a player's university

9.) Drafting that player multiple times as a direct result of errors 7 & 8

10.) Ignoring the fact that Al Davis runs the Raiders

So, fair warning - these things ain't perfect... so imperfect, in fact, that my 2006 mock draft (I think), included just 1 accurately predicted selection. Just one. And here I sit doing another one.

For those of you who are interested in how the Browns come out in my little mock-a-thon, I'll save you the trouble of digging 'em out.

Round 1, Pick 7: Eric Berry - S - Tennessee
Round 2, Pick 6 (38): Devin McCourty - CB - Rutgers
Round 3, Pick 7 (71): John Jerry - G - Ole Miss
Round 3, Pick 21 (85): Jacoby Ford - WR - Clemson
Round 3, Pick 28 (92): Alex Carrington - DE - Arkansas St.
Round 5, Pick 3 (134): Toby Gerhart - RB - Stanford
Round 5, Pick 15 (146): Mike Kafka - QB - Northwestern
Round 5, Pick 29 (160): George Johnson - DE/OLB - Rutgers
Round 6, Pick 8 (177): Scott Sicko - TE - New Hampshire
Round 6, Pick 17 (186): Chris Marinelli - T - Stanford

And for those who are security conscious, the zip file contains only a simple Excel Spreadsheet (old edition - in deference to my Mac-ish friends who can never seem to open the .xlsx variety).

Nice picks JJ. I don't think Gerhart will be there but what a coup if he is!

Nice Mock JJ! I wouldn't be mad at all if that went down. I definately like the McCourty and Carrington picks. I think Berry goes without saying.

A lot to like there. It sets up next year (probably) at QB, which isn't the worst idea ever.

Nice.

Sean lee in the Fourth? Jamar chaney(while I've been talking him up)...is no second rounder...just my dumb two cents off the top of my head!

Yeah, you got a last second good review from Heck. Not only a tight end... but a tight end name sicko.

"It all begins and ends with a tight end."

Riff - I think he was referring to the file attachment with all 250+ selections for all the rounds/teams, not just the Browns mock in the displayed in the OP.
