BROWNS 2012: Its Weeden's job to lose, it was the second we took him #22 overall.
We had a pretty good draft, and I'd like to start seeing some results.
Fans already looking to next year and I don't blame them.
I think we will have things to be excited about that we lacked last year and we have some real facepalm moments just like last year.
It's going to be tough.
We aren't Barking Hard for nothing.
WOOF WOOF WOOF!

The only thing that scares me about all these drafts having Berry be there at 7 is they are NEVER right. I want Berry in the worst way, but I think someone snags him before us.

It's almost like an "un" self fulfilling prophecy. If EVERYONE expects us to take him (and him to be available) then the likelihood that we can take him goes down. It's directly disproportional or something like that. lol

Damn you draft writers!!! Write something else!!

I think I'd actually be more satisfied with Berry than Bradford...

It all comes down to KC at #5. If Berry gets past Krispy Kreme and Pioli then start ordering your customized Berry jerseys.

Wright, Brown, Adams, McDonald, & Berry in the nickel? Adequate, bordering on special.

I've been thinking KC really liked him BUT Pioli also seems like the type of guy to trade back if they want an OT first. NE got Matt Light in round 2 and that guy has been a gem for quite some time. They could conceivably swap picks with the Buffalo Bills if Buff is worried about Seattle or Cleveland going after Clausen.

KC is the wildcard in this 1st round.

Another thing your buddy Flugel can't get out of his head is that we landed Brown, Gocong, Fujita, Pashos, Hillis and Watson in free agency. All starters except for Hillis so that's 5 new/immediate starters a draft is almost never certain to supply in just 1 offseason's time. Does that MEAN we're going to part with draft picks from 2010 & 2011 as well as Jackson and maybe even Rogers for Bradford?

Welcome to the excitement of the 2010 draft that's less than 48 hours a way!!!

Flugs...the Rams just traded There former first rounder for a 7th in Carriker....sure smells like SUH might be #1 pick....I still think it's Bradford but....Suh is the very best guy in this draft .... and this is a very good draft class

That's interesting Solon. This draft class really excites. There's quite a few guys i wouldn't mind at #7 overall.

Speaking of the Rams getting rid of Carriker on the dline - does that open up interest for a proven vet like Shaun Rogers and we sweeten it up with D'Qwell Jackson and some draft picks??? NOW, if they're interested in the QB first - they only go as far back as #7. According to Todd McShay Clausen should be available there. The Rams would fill alot of needs and gain additonal picks. And we get Bradford.

It just seems like if we added 5 starters (Brown, Gocong, Watson, Fujita and Pashos) plus a change of pace RB like Hillis - I think there's a plan for a blockbuster trade.

Tom, I posted this yesterday somewhere. There is a report or two that say the Rams want out of that 1/1 badly, and will not require the traditional sacrifice of the coaches first born to do so. And the Rams have either changed primary owners, or are about to. Some of the leaks say they don't really want a first round first selection qb and the contract and divaness that goes with it.....ie they don't want to saddle the new ownership with having to deal with Bradfords agent Condon, and a possible hold out.

With a potential strike year looming in 2011, and ownership changes, the Rams may cut a sweet deal involving our 1st pick, and Gerrard whoops Sean Rogers and the unhappy D'Quell Jackson. My position is that players like Suh are much rarer than players like Bradford or Clausen. If you trade up to #1, why not take Suh? He could be the Reggie White of Holmgrens Cleveland days.......If you trade up, do you take a "once in a decade" player like Suh, or just to get a ho hum decent but injury prone QB?

I guess my theory isn't so ridiculous, eh?

So you are a new ownership group that is trying to build a fanbase and you trade the first pick in the draft away for what your fans will think is less than what it was worth? Because you are affraid of dealing with an agent?

I'm not saying they don't want out of the pick. I am saying while they may take "less than normal", it's still gonna be really expensive. I don't think dropping to 7 this year and getting a guy that's gonna be suspended and a LB that most Rams fans will go "WHO?????" about is gonna get the deal done.
