Plan B you gotta look at all of your options. Best. Player. Available. Doesn't matter what he plays, we don't exactly have a ton of players who are 'stand-out's'. If its D-Line, RB, Secondary, Hell another Linebacker (I do like McClain) whatever would be the best player at that time, we should take it. I would much better us take the best player we can, rather than trying to snipe a certain pick we have our sights on.

Unless of course, things aren't always easier said than done?

Well, it's always been my opinion successful teams mix going after players they want and BPA when needed, it's not 100% the either/or it is made out to be.

I've heard Heckert speak of this (when discussing drafting BPA vs. Need). He has said "if you have people graded the same, then you draft for need (from that group)...that's logical" - something like that.

Yeah, I think the idea that it's one or the other is a fan myth. It's a bit of both.

Absolutely, Heckert and Reid are/were solid at mixing both. That's why i'm stoked, Heckert knows how to do just that VERY well.

I feel MUCH safer with Heckert running the draft this year.
