I said when we got Brown he may very well play safety. What that pickup did was give us the option to go corner or safety in the draft. If it was Berry or Thomas they could leave Brown at corner, if it was Haden they could move him to safety. We are one more pick away to having a pretty sweet secondary all of a sudden, with a guy like Abe Elam on the outside looking in and Mike Adams providing great depth. Oh, and Bmac as a slot corner rather than a dumbfuck like Poteat, Cousin or Ralphie Brown.

Passing up Spiller bothers me though, I have a feeling we will rue that decision.

By the way, I came back to Haden as an option at #7 after I went back and studied Kareem Jackson & came to the conclusion that he wasn't nearly as good as Haden.

So the "we could've gotten Kareem Jackson later" argument doesn't sway me. And I'm not sure what happened with Kyle Wilson: could have been an injury issue, could have been concerns about there being almost no tape of him facing high-caliber wideouts (Haden faced top-flight guys almost every week in the SEC, and he shut them down).

He's good. I'm sure we'll be better at CB. I'll just leave it at that.

Great pick IMO............................Everybody agrees that this is becoming a passing league and the SS position is on its way out. There's a reason that the Fa period was full of DBs getting big money. then more DBs were drafted in the first round then WR and RBs combined.

Corner has become a elite position and shut down corners are a very high premium.

Haden and Wright with Brown as some FS and nickle back. It also tells Wright to pick up his game. Adams will play some dime and will play a lot to replace Elam in passing situations. This pick also insures you don't flush the season with one injury in the defensive backfield. I wouldn't be surprised if they pick FS also. I'd love to see Morgan Burnett make to to the top of the 3rd round.

Now, let's get McCoy or Tate at #38.

I LIKE the pick. I wanted Spiller 1st but I did say if we went defense first I would be happy with whoever is on our doorstep between Haden & Berry.

When I saw RAC at Berry's workout facilitating the wave drill - I pretty much understood what franchise Berry was going to ahead of us and mentioned it quite a bit.

All I can say is google the kid up and watch some youtube videos on him. I think you'll feel better.
