We'd be better off with a 46 with Rogers at the NT spot next to Roth who'd be on an "island" with the left tackle.

Wimbley's rookie season we ran some 46, and coincidentally enough that was his best statistical season.

If Veikune goes to New England, he has 100 tackles or something.

My starters, forgetting about the suspensions:

DL: Rogers, Rubin, and Smith. Lots of depth with Coleman, Mosley, and Schaefering. Smith is highly underrated. If they stay healthy, this is a really, REALLY good DL.

LB: Benard, Gocong, Fujita, Roth. Loves this group, too. When Jackson returns, he may take one of those two ILB spots. Nobody outside Cleveland is going to rave about this group... but I will. I like it a lot.

CB: Wright, Brown, Haden (who knows who starts but all three are on the field a lot). Obviously the best DB talent the Browns have had since Dixon-Minnifield. McDonald is looking good, too.

S: Elam, Ward. Hey, what happened to Assante? Mike Adams is a swing man, S/CB... and really valuable.

I actually love our defensive personnel, especially if Benard becomes a force. On OFFENSE:

OL: Thomas, Steinbach, Mack, Lauvao, Pashos/Womack. Pashos may win the job thanks to Womack's injury, but Pork Chop could take over later. If we can get everybody healthy, this could be a terrific line. Like top five.

QB: Delhomme... but we'll see Wallace, too. I'm intrigued, even if it's a bridge to something else. Just read that Ratliff may be the third QB on Saturday, a bit of a slap on the wrist to McCoy. Regardless of the unerring support here, I think the team is concerned.

RB: Can't really say "starter," because we're going to be playing with packages, but you'd say Vickers and Harrison. Hillis is going to be in motion as a pass catcher a lot. Hardesty could well lead the team in carries and yards. James Davis just keeps making the coaches scratch their heads on what to do with him (trade, maybe?).

WR/TE: I'm just gonna combine these two because I'm not entirely sure what to call Evan Moore, who's gonna be a big part of our offense. But he, Watson, Robiskie, Massoquoi, Cribbs, and Stuckey are the guys going in and out of various formations.

If think the most prevalent formation will have Watson, Moore, Robiskie, and Massoquoi on the field. Very Colt-ish.

Well, Shep, with Ty Warren out for the season, it'd be hard to predict those sort of numbers for a pass rushing OLB playing ILB. Not to mention, 100 tackles is nothing special. Ben Taylor and Andra Davis were tackling machines, and they did it by making tackles 6 and 7 yards down the field. That's not being a productive ILB.

Just joking about our guys who go to teams like Denver or the Giants or something and end up being really good. That would be our luck with Veikune.

I kind of liked it sticky!

All kidding aside, I HOPE this stays active all season. Dan in Florida did an excellent job with it. PLUS, here's when and where it's gonna matter most. We're getting down to the roster cuts where the names, barring injury, are more permanent for the season.

Without speaking for everyone else, I love looking at the roster where I can see exactly who's manning down each position and who's gonna be active in the rotation. It edu-ma-cates your buddy Flugel about who's wearing the shoulda-ma-pads.

Know what I'm saying? See how I'm sayin it? And do you see why I'm saying it?

Great job with this! The only thing I noticed is the DB's need updated as far as their numbers go. For example, Eric Wright is no longer #24, Sheldon Brown is. Wright is #21. Haden is #23, etc.
