I would imagine a few late moves today. Maybe they did not want to expose Titus Brown immediately. Also, could be working on a trade.

I'd say 1 corner because Adams is a solid swing man. Sorenson over Assante surprised me but Assante could be headed to the practice squad. I think the 4 TEs because Alex Smith can play H/Back and FB.

Got to think they would want to end up with 10 LB. They also need to add an inside/outside OL. Especially with the health concerns of Womack and St Clair's personal problems.

I think Mitchell could be a late move (trying to hide him) to the practice squad. There are some nice WRs that were let go. I think Engram was an audition in case someone gets hurt. He's now someone who could be added that knows the system.

Leaving Asante exposed may come back to hurt us. Well coached at Nebraska and brings some heat on the S blitz. Plus he made some ST plays. Don't like the cut.

I thought he would get drafted coming out of TCU. Don't know a lot about waht he did last year for the Rams but you had to know that the Browns had someone on their radar.

Know, who is getting released..............My bet would be Titus Brown. Hate to see that. I'd rather see them release Bowens.

Little disappointed that Barton is starting inside and Fujita outside. Barton is a whole lot of nothing right now and Fujita does zippo for the pass rush.

I'd rather see Fujita inside and Benard outside.

I can't believe we cut Brandon McDonald. I thought he had a really solid preseason. I liked the secondary guys we kept though. Mike Adams offers us an extra flexibility with his versatility to play Safety or corner in a binde. Ventrone had a nice game vrs the Bears against their BEST QB Todd Collins. I think Sorenson showed us nads like grapefruits AND he's a very smart player IMO. Let's remember he went off to Virginia Tech as a QB so he's very familiar with where a QB wants to let er rip.

We kept some shakey LBers IMO. There isn't 1 decent team in the AFC Barton could start for so color me extremely worried if he's the plan. And I thought a jelly doughnut had a soft middle. Maiava is gonna do exactly what for us? Keep tackling people in his hook that invites game planners? When he bats his first NFL pass down - let me know.

I finally saw the Browns-Bears game I taped. Trusnik and Benard were everywhere. BTW, Benard did an awesome job of releasing to the flats on plays he was NOT supposed to rush the passer. Even when he got there late - it didn't look late. That's a REAL good sign folks. Someone on the staff is doing a GREAT job with this kid.

Bowens got a sack. A little RB tried to stop him and couldn't, which is how it always supposed to be.

FWIW, it was nice to see Veikune making some cameo appearances onto my tv screen. His compass still reads confused; but it was refreshing to see his ass out of park mode. He wasn't gonna make the team with both hands on his family jewels taking inventory at the snap. Who knew we needed a set of jumper cables to put that guy in drive? Now we just gotta get the Samoan a little more all knowin. I asked for progress and got it though.

I gotta be honest, I'm a Titus Brown fan. I saw what I needed to from him in the GB game during the 2nd half. He was doing things I have yet to see from Barton. 1 week later, I saw him deflect a pass in his hook zone. He's got a good feel, which makes him instinctive to get where he is supposed to be on time. Some of our other LBers keep getting there on daylight savings time 1 hour later.

Here's who I think we should keep at LBer:
Jackson, Fujita, Gocong, Roth, Benard, Trusnik, Costanzo, Brown, Bowens, and Veikune.

I woulda kept Brandon McDonald at the expense of 1 of the 2 LBers we're wasting time on. I'm getting the heebeegeebees we're gonna end up resorting to bringing Little Bo Peep back to our secondary. He's the type of guy you gotta paint an R on his right cleat and an L on his left cleat so he knows the difference. Wonderlic translation: he got his name correct.

Thanks Gabe, for putting the UPDATED Depth Chart at the beginning of the thread for me.

In the thread about Rob Ryan, he mentions something about Eric Wright playing the slot. Does this mean Joe Haden is the starter opposite Sheldon Brown, or that when they go to the nickel package Wright will move to slot and Haden will come off the bench to play the corner?

I don't like Sheldon Brown as a starter,I think he is the weakest link in the backfield,he got picked on all pre season,I guess the coaches see something I don't?
The only difference between Brown and Bmac is Brown knows how to tackle other than that they are the same player except Bmac was alot younger and tackling can be taught.
