Isn't that the same thing you were saying about Harrington, Smith and Quinn. Glad your cystal ball is back working again. I just can't figure out how 31 teams could pass on a future HOFer. And, some of those dummies passed more then once. The entire league is fucked up.

How could his mentor and coach even pass on him twice. And why would Carolina waste a pick on another QB when they already got their man. Maybe it takes two guys to hold the clipboard down there or something.

I think these Front Office guys got confused. You said it has turned into a passing league and they all passed on Clausen. I think there was some miscommunication.

Something just doesn't make sense here.

So... flawed...

Tom Brady is completely out of your realm of comprehension? I don't believe that. I believe you understand that, despite 32 teams passing on him multiple times, he is a future HOFer. I believe that you do understand this.

I am ecstatic that Holmgren passed on the next golden domer qb that will join Rick Mirer and Brady Quinn in their wonderfull transition to the NFL.

Wow that's some positive spin on Clausen. "He hasn't done anything Ryan Leaf crazy?"

See this is the kind of stuff that irritates me. He hasn't taken a snap with veterans, threw in shorts, hasn't played in one NFL game, and you've already crowned him "a franchise QB."

You have a difficult time understanding that some people disagree with your assessment of Clausen, so you continue to try and shove him down peoples throats in almost every other thread. He dropped for a reason, and it isn't because people thought he was a franchise QB but had personality problems.

Why you're propping up his minicamp performance in shorts and shirts is beyond me, but you always do this. If there were a hyperbole medal you'd win it.

Why don't you just realize you've made your point about liking Clausen (and Bryant) and just stop pimping the guy so hard? You keep pushing these guys in all of these threads and they have done shit jack. No pads, no scrimmages, no preseason games, no live action on Sundays, and yet Clausen in showing himself to be Mr Franchise. LMAO.

Where have I heard this before from you? There is more to being an NFL QB than throwing in shorts. He had one - 1 - good season in a system that makes a QB look better than he is. Quinn blew away Clausen's numbers against better defenses, and played more games. Clausen hasn't done shit.

Franchise? WTF?

Wait, I can't tell who you're supporting. Clausen or Shep. So Clausen is linked to Brady? Of course you're missing the pont about Clausen being crowned Mr Franchise playing in shorts.

Shep falls in love with 3 or 4 guys every offseason and pimps them everywhere because he is bored. It gets old.

We're all bored, Veg. This kinda low level debate is about all we have.

Lombardi just proclaimed that Colt McCoy is probably a career backup and the Browns know it. Mangini says Wallace will play and opened the door to him winning the job. Clausen and Bryant, guys we debated a lot, had very nice rookie camps and neither slept in nor wore a crown and velvet slippers to practice.

Like Leinart, Rodgers, and Sanchez, I'm sure I'll have a connection to Clausen for a long time, for better or worse. His home is right here in Westlake Village. My son knows him a little. I liked him in the draft for the Browns. Leinart and Sanchez were Trojans. Rodgers was my first real "draft crush," and still my biggest by miles.

Nothing insidious or worth getting upset about.

Well, no, I could really care less about Clausen. I just don't like bad logic.

Yes, I have something better I could be doing.

Ummm....when did Claussen ever look the roll of Franchise QB at ND? Was that while he was playing (and losing) to military accademy schools and failing to have a winnng record?

Well if Lombardi says Colt is a backup, bank on him making multiple Pro Bowls.

And 99% of all rookies had a "nice camp."

I guess I don't see the point in constantly bringing up the same guys over and over. What you're saying about Alex Smith and Matt Leinhart right now, is what you said about Grossman and Harrington at the same point in their careers. Now we're probably going to have 5 seasons of excuses for Clausen.

Well that's where youre mistaken. The NFL draft does not follow a certain logic. Never has. Never will.

At this point, the guy I think the Browns will regret passing on the most is New England Gator Aaron Hernandez. He's a late 1st round talent, but he dropped to the 4th because he isn't a good blocker and has some off the field concerns.

He could have added a special dynamic element to our offense. Kind of like Evan Moore meets Peyton Hillis, plus some more speed.
