Other than Carolina being ranked right ahead of the Browns, I mean they have Jimmy freakin Clausen ready to take over the cockpit and they are ranked that low? Laughable!!

I kid. For some reason they left Wallace off the Browns, which is kind of stupid being many people expect him to beat out Delhomme for the starters job. (I don't ...at least not right away, but many people do) I just can't bring myself to believe that we have the worst QB situation in the league, and I would put up a fair wager that says the end result will NOT be second to last place in offense, nor second to last in QB rating.

Well... we weren't last.

We had a pretty good draft, and I'd like to start seeing some results.
Fans already looking to next year and I don't blame them.
I think we will have things to be excited about that we lacked last year and we have some real facepalm moments just like last year.
It's going to be tough.
We aren't Barking Hard for nothing.

"...a guy with far less physical presence than Quinn" -- what the hell does that mean?

Quinn deserves credit for being a very hard worker, both in the film and weight rooms, but when did he suddenly become a guy that teammates rallied behind and believed in as a leader? He did it in college, but the lasting impression from his time in Cleveland is of him ducking to elude a phantom pass rusher.

And if theOBR's report is to be believed, veterans on the team asked the coaching staff to bench Quinn. Pretty much no one saw him as a savior, even if a few of us thought he deserved a chance to compete in 2010.

So then what the hell were the vets asking to be done with DA?
Traded to the Gladiators for a hot dog vendor and a pack of peanuts?
Deported to Cuba in a 3.4 megaton blast cannon during a halftime show?
Beat to death with rubber chickens?

Honestly though...
Chew on this.
How good did we expect the qb play to be without a single guy on the field able to catch the ball with anything remotely resembling consistency, a shitty right side of the line, a running back who stutter stepped his way into negative yardage every play and a rookie OC?
Face it, Edwards sucked ass, Royal sucked more ass, MoMass was inconsistent, Cribbs sucked ass at WR but still did great as a returner, the playcalling would optimistically have been called abysmal at best (for example, I saw Bushrod get his ass handed to him 2 straight series vs the Colts, then the Saints made an adjustment next series and brought in a te to chip the rusher. That simple adjustment was never even attempted by the Browns as StClair got his ass handed to him game after game).
This was the worst possible place for a qb to be in the NFL last season.
Good luck to Quinn in Denver.
And for Jake's sake, let's home Dabs gets his head out his ass this season (or we're going to see every qb on the roster PLUS some).

I think by "physical presence" he meant bigger and stronger. Literally. It was less about praising Quinn and more about saying Colt is small and weak-armed.

seeing how expectations are so low, it won't be hard to see an 'average' qb.

our qb's are ranked low because of their performance. Likewise w/ the Panthers.

Guys, as much or as little faith as you have in Delhomme/Wallace/McCoy, y'all will have to admit that the ranking is fairly justifiable. We know that QB as of today is an area of weakness.

Pretty much with your assessment that the ratings are pretty much a joke. The top 13 teams are ranked pretty accurate if you throw out Minnesota (Favre, you kidding me?), Washington (mr choke McNabb), New York Giants (one season wonder topped off by a miracle game Eli), and Tony (I save my worst games for the most crucial times Romo).

Matt Schaub can play and should be rated higher than all these guys and none of the teams I mentioned are in any better shape than the Browns QB wise. We upgraded huge and have a chance to see a real franchise QB for the first time since Bernie in McCoy who could be our best QB since Otto.

Peyton, Ben, Brees, Rivers, Rogers, and Brady are the only real franchise QB's........so we are not worse off than most of the 26 other teams. Things are getting brighter every day!

Our QB's arent the best but Ill tell you one thing.... THEY ARE BETTER THAN LAST YEARS QB's. Hopefully Colt can develop into a great QB. Not likely but it is possible.

You expect a Steelers troll to know shit about football?

Anyways, this article pretty much is a joke, no surprise there.
