| 2011 NBA Mock Draft Written by Paul Banks of the Washington Times, and David Kay of the The Sports Bank. Send Paul an e-mail here: paulb05 AT hotmail DOT com. All other e-mail, including advertising and link proposals, send to: wpc112@gmail.com Updated: May 18, 2011. 1. Cleveland Cavaliers: Kyrie Irving, PG, Duke, 6-2, Fr. The Cavaliers own this pick via the Mo Williams/Baron Davis trade. Go here to see all of the outstanding 2011 NBA Draft Trades. Poor, dumb Clippers. The Cavaliers will probably lean toward taking Kyrie Irving over Derrick Williams even though they already have Baron Davis and Ramon Sessions at the point. It is hard to pass up a franchise point guard, and Irving is the best prospect in this class. 4. Cleveland Cavaliers: Enes Kanter, F/C, Kentucky, 6-10, Fr. The Cavaliers do have a huge hole on the wing and could go for a player like Kawhi Leonard who has really impressed at recent workouts. I think Enes Kanter adds a physicality down low that Cleveland lacks with current starting center Anderson Varejao. 32. Cleveland Cavaliers: Marshon Brooks, SG, Providence, 6-5, Sr. Still searching for help on the wing, the Cavaliers would have a dynamic scorer in Marshon Brooks. 54. Cleveland Cavaliers: Chandler Parsons, SF, Florida, 6-9, Sr. Cavs grab more depth on the wing with their fourth pick of the 2011 NBA Draft. WalterFootball.com: 2011 NBA Mock Draft

| 2011 NBA Draft Scouting Report: Enes Kanter Position: Center Size: 6-10, 255 School: Turkey, 1992 Strengths: Knows how to throw his body around down low Good touch around the basket Footwork in the post Establishing position on the block Strong rebounder Handles the ball well for a big Mid-range jumper Uses power dribble to get to the basket Runs the floor well Agility Good feel for the game Weaknesses: Athleticism Explosiveness at the rim Lateral quickness on defense Not an intimidating shot-blocking presence Summary: Despite being ruled ineligible at Kentucky this past season, Enes Kanter remains the best big man prospect in the 2011 NBA Draft class. He possesses the size and post game of someone well beyond his years and should be a top-five pick come June. Player Comparison: Tim Duncan. Before I get lit up for this comparison, I am in no way implying that Kanter is going to be the next Tim Duncan, but rather the two have fairly similar games. Like the Big Fundamental, Kanter shows great maturity at a young age, ability to rebound, mid-range game and intelligence. Duncan has never been by any stretch of the imagination one of the most athletic big men around, and neither will Kanter, but still maximizes the abilities that have made him one of the top post players in the league for more than a decade. Kanter will likely never be in that category, but should be a quality big man for years to come. WalterFootball.com: 2011 NBA Draft Scouting Report: Enes Kanter

All other e-mail, including advertising and link proposals, send to: wpc112@gmail.com Updated: June 13, 2011. 1. Cleveland Cavaliers: Kyrie Irving, PG, Duke, 6-3, Fr. The Cavaliers own this pick via the Mo Williams/Baron Davis trade. Go here to see all of the outstanding 2011 NBA Draft Trades. The Cavs will probably lean toward taking Kyrie Irving over Derrick Williams even though they already have Baron Davis and Ramon Sessions at the point. It is hard to pass up a franchise point guard, and Irving is the best prospect in this class. 4. Cleveland Cavaliers: Jonas Valanciunas, PF/C, Lithuania, 6-10, 1992 The Cavaliers are likely hoping that Enes Kanter falls to them with this pick, but since he is off the board they'll likely turn their attention to either Jonas Valaciunas or Jan Vesely. I am giving the edge to Valanciunas since he provides more of a true physical presence in the paint. 32. Cleveland Cavaliers: Jeremy Tyler, F/C, USA, 6-10, 1991 Even though I have the Cavs drafting a big man in the first round, Jeremy Tyler is worth the risk here. He looks the role but is still a project in his development. 54. Cleveland Cavaliers: Jereme Richmond, SF, Illinois, 6-7, Fr. For a team re-building, the Cavs would love it if Jereme Richmond fell to them with their fourth pick of the 2011 NBA Draft. Richmond is very talented, but also raw in his all-around development and could be a steal this late. WalterFootball.com: 2011 NBA Mock Draft
