LA Times poll: 65% don't like the hiring. Adelman or Shaw were the more popular picks.

He's a good coach. Even better now that he's been able to study his mistakes with the Cavs I'm sure. Coaching Kobe will be a breeze after having to deal with the "King".

People (and writers) are already coming along as they get it. As Kobe himself said, you build a champion on defense because every NBA team can score... or at least most. Mike Brown won over Jim Buss by talking defense, defense, and defense. It's the true X-factor and teams that try to win by outscoring the other team... don't.

The Lakers will not be moving any of their fat deals. Kobe, Pau, Drew, Ron-Ron, and Lamar will all be there and none of them are 38 (like Kidd). I'm betting an affordable (i.e., exception) PG like Aaron Brooks comes in and Shannon Brown sees more court time.

For me, they still go into next year as the favorites. Kobe will have a huge chip.

Coaching LeBron on the way up, and coaching Kobe and his 5 rings are very different. I like Mike Brown but not for the Lakers. No way. This is one of the most high profile and celebrity driven coaching jobs in the world, Mike Brown is going to fall on his ass, sadly. Not the right fit IMO.
