Grady WAS a good player....not so much since he got hurt......he is a shell of his former self and I doubt he can ever play like he did a few years back before he got injured. Him and Pronk are an injury waiting to happen. ![]() Santan has a huge hole in his swing.....every time I have watched the Tribe this year.....Santana is always swinging for the fences. Someone needs to tell him that he doesn't have to hit a homerun every at bat.

He was a good hitter all through the minors (I know that doesn't mean he's gonna be good in the Majors) and he did well in his short stint with the team last year. I realize he doesn't have a track record in the Majors. But you can see (atleast I can) he's gonna be a much better hitter than he is now (.220). He's got a natural swing with tons of power and switch hitting to boot. He's 4th in the AL in walks , so even as a young hitter he's very patient. He's gonna be atleast a .280 hitter.

I hope you are right nmills. Though Santana has a lot of hitches in that swing and seems to be going for the fenses a bit to much. His track record in the minors really isn't even that long. As you noted his big league track record is very short. It was basically long enough to just get to where opposing pitchers would start making adjustments on him. I do love his eye and how many walks he takes. Seeing as how he's been hitting .220 for half the season (more time in the bigs then he spent last year), as of right now there is not a lot of reason for me to believe he will be a .280 hitter. |
