Fantasy Football League I (Woof Pack) kicks off this Thursday Evening (Sept 2nd) at 9:15 PM Eastern Time. It's a good idea to get there about 5-15 minutes early. Your knuckleheaded Commissioner thought he was gonna do a GREAT thing and get the draft done BEFORE the holiday weekend. What he didn't know was the Ohio State Buckeyes AND the Cleveland Browns were going to be playing football on the SAME weeknight. When does that ever happen? My apologies for any inconveniences.

Anyway, the following teams are signed up to participate in this league:
Hammertime, Port City Blazers, Jax Pumpkin Heads, Team DangeRuss, Cleveland Crennels, Thaaktown, BrownOut, Drink Beer, WV Hoopies, Brady backers, Comets, FBrulz

Fantasy Football League II (Woof Pack II) kicks off Tuesday, September 7th at 8:00pm Eastern Time. The following teams are signed up for this league:
Dirty Dawgs, SMWHREOVRDWAYNBOWE, BIG Dawgs, golfer704u, Bulldogs, BernietheKid, RPrepublic, Waiting for Noodles, Warrendawg, ramrods, DaBrowns41, Flugeldawgs

In either league, if you can't make it - make sure you rank your players 1-180 before the draft starts. If you don't, it will default to Yahoo's rankings which does not remove INJURED players. You should do this even if you are going to make the draft so it's easier to make your picks.

How dare The Buckeyes and Browns schedule games on the same day as our draft? Thankfully the DVR works great and will be getting a work out on Thursday night!

BTW, For out of staters like me the Browns game will be on NFL Network @ 1:00 P.M. on Saturday and The Buckeyes are live Thursday night @ 7:30 on Big Ten Network then replayed several times over the next couple of days.

I'm more of a multi-tasker. Beer, remote, watching game, rewinding and evaluating, beer, Fantasy Draft, beer, etc.

If you're in League 2 - please make sure you inventory all body parts before and after you meet up with Ramrod's Killerhurts. He's had his cyber shoulder pads on for about a month before the draft so I'd say he's pretty excited about opening kickoff.

All that said, he had an applicable hidden message about our draft: "If you fail to prepare then prepare to fail!" Thanks Ram! I have a really good feeling you're gonna be my goto guy for leaguewide inspiration this season.

There's a message board on each league's web folks. Have a rip snortin riot with it and smack downs. The ONLY thing I want to make sure everyone understands is Yahoo warns every commish that vulgar language and verbal abuse will not be tolerated; and they will be checking in to every league on occasion. Just be careful enough to show your just having harmless fun with all comments. Don't put yourself in a bad situation. I'll try to do a weekly summary of scores and standings on this board that you can piggyback on with any self promotions you feel are warranted. I think I'll title it the Fantasy Football Pen since I gotta wear my Dawg Warden hat while I'm playing Shakespeare.

In any event, let's break a leg and crack some ribs while we're at it...

Geez, I'm gettin a little cold. Is there a draft in here?

You bet there is! It's tonight at 8:00pm. The Admin at Yahoo emailed the reminder a day or so ago. Come ready to rock. If you get there at about 7:45pm you will see where the folks at Yahoo positioned you in round one so you can strategize how you want to begin your first round or 2.

Worth noting: I have no say in where they position/slot us. My biggest fear is showing up and seeing I'm drafting first with 11 others thinking "uh huh!" Ramrod's already got me worried if I need bouncers and taser guns at this thing. That's my problem not your's - we're gonna have a blast folks!
