Week 14: Playoffs or Death

So heading into the Sunday night matchup, there are still three games to be played. Philly vs. Dallas, Minny vs. NYG, and Balt vs. Houston.

So, there's still quite a bit of football to be played, and things can change.

What are we looking at?

#3 overall WarrenDawg is getting PUMMELED by Waiting for Noodles by a score of 172-43. WarrenDawg still has Flacco, Andre Johnson, and Neil Rackers to play, while WfN has Jason Witten playing still.

#4 overall Whatchutlkbouthillis is leading Golfer704u by a score of 135-74. Hillis has DeSean Jackson to play, but Golfer has two very good players in Anquan Boldin and LeSean McCoy to play. Boldin had over 40 points himself in their last matchup.

#5 overall DirtyDawgs has found a way to most likely win and clinch himself a playoff spot despite starting Frank Gore and Kevin Kolb. His competition, Berniethekid, has 36 points with Jeremy Maclin left to play.

And PracticeSquad is still battling with Ramrods. If both Hillis and DirtyDawgs win, then this game doesn't mean much, but if either team loses, then, this game would decided the last playoff spot.

PS is up 98-74. But, he can't get too cozy. While he has Ray Rice to go, Ramrods still has Arian Foster AND Adrian Peterson left to play. Absolutely nasty.

It'll be interesting to see how this plays out.

And my QB and my D are playing against each other tomorrow night (the game that got postponed!).

It will be interesting indeed. I at least feel good about starting Westbrook over Santonio Holmes (who had a red hot rend over the last 4 weeks). That said, I had Deion Branch's 34 points on the bench because it's not like I could bench consistent high scorers (Roddy White & Brandon Lloyd). Aside from that, I kept hearing it was gonna be a miserable day to consider throwing the ball in Chicago. LOL! I'm sure the Bears could fill us in on just how miserable it was.

Even my Drink Beer team is getting ice balled!

Congrats to Golfer, WaitingForNoodles, DaBrowns and Dirty Dawg for making the playoffs.

It is frustrating the Dirty Dawg made the playoffs despite losing 4 of his last 6 thanks to starting Frank Gore and Kevin Kolb. It doesn't look like many changes are made to his team, and perhaps a guy like Practice Squad is more deserving.

But, I plan on getting revenge on WaitingforNoodles so that Golfer and I can finish with a tiebreaker.

I'll try to get the Weekly Summaries out there early evening tonight. I know everyone is excited and all. I wish I could do this at work today but I'd get fired. I got up early and have it half finished so I should have it completed in the early evening.

Thanks for the kind words about my Practice Squad; BUT those Dirty Dawgs were consistent enough to finish 8-6. I think they beat me too so don't take them lightly. I'll have fun in the consolation bracket.

I WISH I could police who was going to be looking at their roster and having it set with enough active players throughout by openning kickoff. We have 2 leagues of 12 teams and I know people like to look at last minute injury reports and so on. In addition, if the commissioner starts to set a roster while others before got to beat that same team - it favors some teams over others. For the most part, I think we had 2 very competitive leagues. I've had a blast with y'all.

I am happy to announce that "EJ's Demon Monkeys" are in the championship game for my keeper league.. It's been a long drought fto get to a superbowl for me (10 years I think?). I have been in the same league for over 15 years now.I won several when we first started..but the other guys have caught up to me a bit so it's tougher now.. especially in a 12 team league.

One more week and I'm in the money round.
