Default KEVIN MACK League - WEEK 2 Recap

As everyone settles into some rhythm in this second week, we note that three teams are 2-0 (RAC ‘n ROLLS, EVIL Dawg Pound, and Chainsaw Massaquoi) and three teams are 0-2 (Whipped Cream, Floridabrownsbacker, and Jax Pumpkin Heads).

But let’s not get too comfortable just yet…there’s plenty of season coming!

Now let’s get going:

Coming off a tough loss from last week, Floridabrownsbacker took his team gator wrestling to toughen them up. They brought back some little gators for inspiration and BernietheKid flushed ‘em. (You probably should have taken on the full grown gators, Floridabrownsbacker!). Larry Fitzgerald, Ben Roethlisberger, and Beanie Wells chased that Kid all over the field. BernietheKid let Steve Smith, Andy Dalton, and Stevie Smith catch all those little gators for him. Meanwhile, it seems Floridabrownsbacker lost their defense (San Diego) in the everglades. Can we get a moment of silence for those fellows?

FINAL SCORE: BernietheKid 340.70 Floridabrownsbacker 243.44

The EVIL Dawg Pound needed a bone to gnaw on and I Heart Freckles was the target. This was a solid effort by both teams and EVIL Dawg Pound is just cutting his teeth. Miles Austin chewed up the field with 73.60 points and Darren McFadden and Mike Wallace got a few tastes in too! I Heart Freckles developed a crush on his top scorers: Tony Romo, Drew Brees, and LeSean McCoy. Awwwwwww!!!

FINAL SCORE: EVIL Dawg Pound 386.27 I Heart Freckles 332.92

Waiting for Noodles decided that pierogi was on this weeks menu and JJ’s Palookas gave ‘em up. Michael Turner, Matt Schaub, and Rob Gronkowski munched the most points for Waiting for Noodles. Although they were the high scorers JJ’s Palookas got disappointing results from Michael Vick, and Mark Sanchez, but Brandon Jacobs earned a second helping. I think it was the mesmerizing echoes of the pan flute that really “inspired” JJ’s Palookas.

FINAL SCORE: Waiting for Noodles 251.06 JJ’s Palookas 208.82

This week we discovered a new passion for RAC ‘n ROLLS. Annihilation and Domination. Whipped Cream looked like the cream puffs they baked the day before hoping to distract RAC ‘n ROLLS. But he was on a mission! With more than 50 points EACH from Aaron Rodgers, Kenny Britt, and Fred Jackson he discovered that maybe he could skip dessert. Adrian Peterson was the MVP (Most Valuable Puff) on the Whipped Cream team, but this recipe was obviously a dud. Whipped Cream didn’t just get whipped…they got SPANKED!

FINAL SCORE: RAC ‘n ROLLS 423.34 Whipped Cream 302.63

What a screamer! Those Believeland Browns were singin’ Hallelujah at the end of this match-up – and with good cause. Even with a spooktacular 75.70 points from Jeremy Maclin and spirited contributions from Philip Rivers and the New York Jets Defense, the Believeland Browns managed to eke out the Jax Pumpkin Heads by just 8.08 points! Eric Decker, Sam Bradford, and Ryan Mathews were the holy rollers for the Believeland Browns. But beware – Jax Pumpkin Heads are carving out a new game plan as we speak!

FINAL SCORE: Believeland Browns 282.74 Jax Pumpkin Heads 274.66

Another close game as Chainsaw Massaquoi took on the Cribbs and Bloods! It could have been a massacre of gang warfare proportions but these two settled it on the field of honor. Tom Brady revved his chainsaw with a vicious 83.72 points! And, oh look at the guns on Peyton Hillis who brought home 50.20 points (you know I had to say something extra special for him!) A.J. Green helped round out the score for Chainsaw Massaquoi. The Cribbs and Bloods used all their gangsta tricks to give back a good fight! Jason Campbell and Matt Forte had over 50 points each, and the Pittsburgh defensive thugs brought up the score (ugh, lol).

FINAL SCORE: Chainsaw Massaquoi 413.65 Cribbs and Bloods 400.82

Nice job Hiway. Love the write ups.

I needed 40 points Monday Night from A Bradshaw to overtake Chainsaw Massaquoi, but I came up 12-and-some-change short. Good game dude.

My team thought football was just for Sundays because Believeland overcame a big deficit to edge me out on Monday night - good job BB!

Ironically I almost picked up Eric Decker after the Broncos first game but something told me he wouldn't have another good game - not only was I wrong but that SOB played a big part in putting me in a big 0-2 hole!

Another great write up Hiway!
