Thanksgiving Thread

November is the month of thankfulness. A time to reflect on the people/places/things that make our lives better.

This thread should have been started on Tuesday (11/1) but better late than never.

To catch up, I'm listing 6 things that I'm thankful for.

Play along and throughout the month, list things that you are thankful for!

1 - I'm thankful for the love of my life, my husband. He keeps me sane when the world around me is going cuckoo.

2 - My dogs - Daisy and Buddy. They make me laugh, love me without conditions or expectations, and as a bonus are warm and furry!

3 - My family - mom, dad, brother, sister-in-law, neice, and nephew. They are the core of who I am.

4 - My home. It isn't much but it's enough to keep us warm and sheltered and provides endless hours of "entertainment" (LOL)

5 - My job. It drives me crazy most days, but I do love what I do - and in this economy, I'm glad I have something.

6 - My friends, both real life and on line. I appreciate all they do for me. They are there when I need a shoulder or when I need a laugh.

Funny Hiway, I am watching the Waltons Thanksgiving Specials "right now" on the Hallmark Channel.

I just realized that the "real" John Boy was replaced...too big of a star for the reunion show (just like Radar did on Mash, and Ginger Grant on Gilligan's Island). What asses!

I'm grateful for alot of things...
my dog(and past ones) for all the reasons Hiway listed and because, being deaf< they are my companions. They tell me whats up in any given situation, I trust them!
my wife, for her patience and understanding. She even though aussies don't celebrate thanksgiving(that'd be like brits celebrating the 4th of july) every year she makes me a full blown thanksgiving dinner!
My students, for teaching me
heaps more but thats a start!
