Thought I'd bring up 2 things. First, there is a 64 bit version of Firefox called Waterfox, so long as you're running Windows XP 64, Vista 64 or Windows 7 64 it runs native to 64 bit where Firefox is native 32 bit and slightly slows because Windows 64 bit versions run 32 bit programs in a 32 bit emulator on a 64 bit OS, grant it, it's microseconds and with quad core 3 gig cpus you're really not going to notice, but by design it should run faster. You can pick up Waterfox at: http://waterfoxproject.org/ Second, you can do this in Firefox and Waterfox. Just a quick tweak that makes a difference when opening multiple tabs. 1.Type about:config into the address bar and hit return. 2.Scroll down and look for the following entries: network.http.pipelining network.http.proxy.pipelining Change them both to "True" 3. Now look for this entry: network.http.pipelining.maxrequests Set it to "30" or something like that. This means it will make 30 requests at once. 4. Now there is only one thing left to do. Right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it recieves. Can't remember if it's been posted before, but thought some might find the info useful.
