I realize some stories might be posted here that would possibly be posted in other sections, so that could be an issue although most posts are related to our teams.


Another thing I could do is have it automatically post say "Top NFL stories" to the Cleveland Browns section, "Top NBA stories" to the Cavs section etc etc. However, if I did that then those posts would appear on our Twitter and Facebook.

Again, just something I am messing with to see if it would add anything to our site. Let me know what you think. I thought it might be a benefit as the majority of these posts wouldn't be mentioned here normally, and it might stir up more conversation. But as mentioned, there could be drawbacks.

I dig it. Keeps me from having to go all over the web (or at least ESPNs bandwidth monster) to get stories when I'm on my phone.

And despite Chubby Luke Wilson's opinions to the contrary, I don't need to change movie/sushi date plans while I'm on the phone with my boyfriend.

It may have been the ESPN ticker I had installed at the top of the page ...or it may have just been server issues.

Also, I'll try and move thread from here to the appropriate categories if they start getting replies. (if I don't get to it, maybe one of the other mods/admins can)

I think this is really cool, and am all for it. Sorry I haven't been around much, just been working like crazy plus we're trying to get my brother transitioned into a group home, so It's been hit or miss for me the past few weeks. I came on today, and was like "huh, where did that new forum come from?"

I like the concept and I think it can serve us well. Well all of us who don't like to be the first to post a breaking news story!! haha

I"m starting to see a problem with this. If someone already posts a new headline, and this new feature does the same, people will have to decide which thread to post in, it's kinda overkill in some situations. (Mark McGwire thread is an example.)

Is this the only example? The other McGuire article that was posted, was actually posted in here I just moved it. I've been trying to move the ones that get some action to the proper categories. Anything you see posted by "Barking Hard" was actually posted in here first. I think that second article was just another one pumped out by ESPN.
