There goes Geathers. Dolphins awarded Geathers, Parnell, Reitz, Rose, Will Allen to IR | National Football Post Dolphins awarded Geathers, Parnell, Reitz, Rose, Will Allen to IR by Aaron Wilson September 05, 02010 Print This The Miami Dolphins were awarded four players on waiver claims today: defensive end Clifton Geathers, offensive linemen Jermey Parnell and Joe Reitz and defensive end Robert Rose. The team also terminated the contracts of veteran defensive ends Marques Douglas and Charles Grant and offensive guard Cory Procter. And the Dolphins placed cornerback Will Allen on injured reserve with a knee injury, ending his season. Geathers was the second of two sixth round selections of the Cleveland Browns this spring. He played collegiately at South Carolina and was released by Cleveland on Saturday. Parnell signed with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted college free agent from Ole Miss this spring. Reitz, a second-year player from Western Michigan spent the last two seasons on the practice squad of the Baltimore Ravens. Rose signed as an undrafted free agent by the Seahawks in April.
