Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin, who has suffered from migraine headaches since being drafted out of Florida last year, collapsed during practice Thursday and was taken away from Minnesota's camp headquarters in an ambulance, according to multiple reports.

Harvin was not present at the start of practice, according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. The Tribune also reported that Harvin jogged onto the practice field after meeting with the Vikings' team trainer, then vomited and fell to the ground.

After approximately 10 minutes, Harvin was helped into an ambulance and taken from the facility. The Vikings reportedly ended practice early, shortly after the incident.

"That one hit and it hit hard," coach Brad Childress told reporters. "[It's] always scary for all of our guys when you see teammates struggling."

The team did not immediately release any information on Harvin's status.

That's tough, I hope he's ok.

He was also a fantasy stud for me last year.

Hope he gets better (not just for fantasy but in general)

Ugh, sounds like a brain tumor.. but I guess Migraines can get pretty awful, though I hadn't heard of collapsing due to them.

I hear he's being held overnight at the hospital. Migraine is such an abused word. I'm willing to bet 99% of the people who say "oh I have a migraine" have no clue what a migraine really is.. They cause vomiting, dizziness, effect vision, ablitly to walk straight, light sensitivity and may other side effects. Most people who use that term are just overexaggerating a headache.. They are not even remotely similar.

Got a cousin that suffers migraines, nasty stuff.
Some days he's fine, other days he can't even function.

While I'm glad this didn't happen to one of our guys, I hope they get this straightened out soon enough.
One thing that can cause migraines but is overlooked because it has no logical link would be the heart.
Often babies are born with small holes in their hearts, which is not life threatening and usually heals up by itself. It it doesn't heal by itself it does not become life threatening and most people with the condition (patent foramen ovale) can live normal, productive lives without ever knowing they have it, in fact, it is estimated that 15-25% of most people have pfo.
In extreme cases of patent foramen ovale, people can suffer chronic migraines and it could even cause a stroke (former lead singer of Poison, Brett Michaels is a prime example of the extreme condition).
So I'm praying they do a full CAT scan on him and can get this fixed.
