Jesus, totally under threw that guy on the deep ball. There is a reason his arm strength was a question on Leinart.

Though I think Sanchez might have Leinart beat for most Hollywood QB.
Heh. You're probably right.

By the way, Flugel deserves credit for sticking to his guns with Young. He's looking pretty good out there.

Flugs knows a little somethin somethin about football, and just as he is adamant on the danger that is picking Dezzie, he has been proven pretty correct sticking with Young.

I have never been a big fan of Young and thought his mental implosion was par for the course, but I will give him credit for getting his act together (if he can keep it that way). I've never been a big fan of Texas and their questionable ethics toward football players and class, but Mack Brown seems to be running a pretty tight ship nowadays.

Young probably can't type a legible sentence, but he can play some football. His continued success will bode well for Terrell Pryor also.

LMFAO, DA throws a beauty and then chucks it over the goal post. Then he throws it through Wells' chest from 5 yards away, then behind the guy on the slant LOL.

Somewhere out in Portland, Lumfreddy has his wife beater and a bottle of Jack going right now, motherfucking the hell out of Leinart and blaming every DA shit throw on the receiver's routes.

Hey Arizona, God called.
He said you better get Warner's ass on speed dial 'cause these 2 QBs are hopeless!

Derek Anderson gets his chance
Posted by Mike Florio on August 23, 2010 9:14 PM ET

During Monday night's game between the Cardinals and the Titans, Arizona starter Matt Leinart exited at the end of the first quarter.* But the rest of the starting offense remained.

And backup quarterback Derek Anderson entered.

Leinart, who presided over three three-and-out drives, is believed in some circles to be in danger of losing his job.* The question becomes whether Anderson can seize it from Leinart, like Kurt Warner did two years ago.

On his first drive, Anderson gave the Cardinals something to think about, launched a beautiful rainbow to receiver Stephen Williams on third and three, moving the ball from the Tennessee 43 to the Titans' six.* But then Anderson and the offense sputtered, with the former Brown misfiring on two opportunities to finish the drive with an end zone.

Still, Anderson led the Cards to three points -- and that's three points more than Leinart could muster in three drives.

Stay tuned.

New York Jets Preseason Week Two: Sanchez Looks Bad
By Tony Santorsa (Correspondent) on August 23, 2010

The Carolina Panthers and New York Jets wrapped up week two of their preseason with a field goal kicking frenzy, with the Jets winning 9-3.*

Not one touchdown was scored, offensively or defensively. With the way each team struggled, I was surprised either one was able to get into field goal range.

New York Jets starting quarterback Mark Sanchez played awful after a week of playing mediocre against the New York Giants.*

Sanchez was five of 12 and nearly threw two interceptions. Sanchez was sacked twice and only managed to gain 12 yards through the air.*

Sanchez's remarks to the game: "Sloppy."

Despite both offensives struggling, both teams should feel satisfied with their defenses.*

With so much hype surrounding this team after only making the playoffs by beating a Colts team led by Curtis Painter last season, this team hasn't looked so impressive. This team even had their own reality show "Hard Knocks," but maybe reality is this team is just average.

Another up-and-down preseason game is in the books for the Jets. It will be interesting to see how their regular season plays out.

Felt bad for Leinart. He got blitzed on every play, made the right reads, took the hits and hit 4 of 6.

Neither deep ball was underthrown. The first one was a bad read (Leinart's). The second one was a rookie not locating a very nice touch pass.

Then he's pulled. It's a tough way to shine, man. It is.

On the other side... Young is just VASTLY improved. Yes, he had time to throw and open receivers, but he did the job and did it very, very well. I was impressed. I think the reins start coming off of him this year.

Man, he comes off like a 'tard when he talks, though.

That actually made me snort Diet Coke through my nose. It's like when you read a script you wrote five years ago and laugh at a line you forgot. Yeah, it's creative masturbation, but getting off is getting off.
