You don't think if we can't get a pass rush this year that they would not look at someone to fix that? Also don't discredit Mangini's imput he went LT/C, CB, than OLB in the first round with the Jets. We already had the LT and the last two years they went C, CB. I'm just saying look at the correlation although he might be scared off by Gholston.

There's no way you can sell me on Ponder. Also, Patrick Peterson is undoubtedly the #1 CB in my eyes.

This is going to be a nice WR class with Green, Jones, and Baldwin leading the way as well. I plan to have my top 20-25 players to watch out for within the next 2 weeks.

As I said in another thread, just like the DB's were hi-pri this year in the draft/FA/trade period next year the front office must address the DL and OL early and often.

The DL because the starters are all old outside of Rubin and we don't have much depth. The OL because outside of the probable starters we only have one back up worth anything and I think Mangini is still not very fond of Steinback.

You can never have to many. Let's put him at the top of the board.

Positions I'd be looking at:

1. Pass Rusher
1. Quarterback
2. DE
3. Another rightside blocker
4. #1 WR

Do you think Daniel Thomas is better than Gerhardt? I can't see him going any higher than the Stanford RB.

Until the season plays out I don't think I could even try to guess what direction this team might need to go. It's hard to tell who is going to step up and who may fall flat on their face.

#1 need could be QB, or could be WR. It also could be OL if Steinbech keeps wearing down and Pashos doesn't come around from his shoulder injuries. It very well could be the DL which needs to get younger but I'd hope we have the pass rush thing taken care of with the group we have.

Very true, Y. It's definitely mental masturbation from this distance. But I'm not above it.

I'll say this: If Jake's the man, we need to draft a QB because the starter will be 36 in 2011. If Wallace is some huge breakout story... that's a little different. He's only 30.

theres something that bugs me about AJ Green

He has the measurables, he can definitely play....

it seems he lacks toughness though, and he doesn't seem to be as agile as you'd like. When you watch him it seems as if hes just good because he's taller than everyone, which doesn't matter as much in the NFL

what really bugs me though, is the production... where is it?

in 08 AND 09 he accumulated 8 and 6 touchdown receptions, thats mediocre by NFL #1 wide out standards let alone college, and you cant blame it on the QB, he had stafford for his first year I believe. Look at Dez Bryants sophmore season with Zac Robinson at the helm, 19 friggen receiving touchdowns, not counting his return TD's. I think Green is a mirage.

P.S. Sorry about the Dez comparison, I remember Alo saying that he thought Green would probably be better than Dez so I thought I'd bring it up

P.S.S. Holy shit that Robert Quinn fucker is CRAZY!

I do, yes! Thomas is a STUD...he just plays on a horrid team. P.S. He is the ultimate wildcat RB/QB. But I'd keep him at RB...he is every bit as good as ryan mathews IMO...
