I heard that whoever is picking in Round 3, pick#15 is going to have a steal. Overheard a couple of McDonald's cooks talking about today.

Kind of a strange list, then again it IS Kipers "big" board, but I digress. If we have a bad or mediocre season and are in a position to make a trade I think we all know who it'll be for, either Locker or Luck. However I don't foresee that happening and think we'll be picking in the mid teens to 20's, so the following interest me and I think it'll be one of the following: Robert Quinn, Adrian Clayborn, Cameron Heyward or Von Miller.

I like all four and it's needed help, ESPECIALLY Defensive End. Though on the flipside I must say Rahim Moore sounds intriguing as well. Wright, Haden, Ward and Rahim Moore manning our backfield does sound pretty interesting.

That's a good list, K. I think a few of them might end up top 10 picks, though.

Quinn and Clayborn likely won't be there if/when we're picking later, though there's a chance the fall. I could see Heyward being there and Miller i've no doubt will be available into the 20's. The only way he isn't is if he has an absolute MONSTER season.

Von Miller comes anywhere near the season he had last (in the 14~17 sack range) he be a top 15 pick

And this is the cool thing about Stanford football:

Quote:
Perhaps the most impressive part of Stanford’s resurgence, which included a 55-21 thrashing of U.S.C. last year, is that the Cardinal has done it without gimmicks on offense. Stanford runs an old-fashioned pro set, with a fullback, Owen Marecic, who also plays linebacker. There is no whirl of motion, no Wildcat package or misdirection or any other type of trickery so often associated with drastic turnarounds in modern college football.

“Jim has taken Stanford kids — and they all come from pretty good families; I’m sitting in the parents’ section with doctors and lawyers — and he’s convinced them they are a group of lunch-pail, blue-collar, smack-you-in-the-face, union kind of guys,” Oliver Luck said. “I just love the irony of that. It’s the last school you would anticipate where you could create that.”

First guy that feels like Peyton Manning... since Peyton Manning. Bloodlines, intelligence, mature beyond his years, no holes in his game...

He's gonna make someone really happy. Question is whether it's 2011 or 2012.

I'd like to see him tighten up his accuracy. Plus, he had a bad habit of making one or two uber-costly mistakes each game, but those should go away with more experience.

Mark my words the kids going to be another Aikman, he's going to carry whatever team he lands on up on his shoulders to multiple championships. I'll admit it, I hope that is us. The question is 2011 or 2012, which makes it interesting. I'm willing to swing some deals and wait until 2012 if need be, but i'm not certain Holmgren can wait that long.

I'll also throw this out there, if we draft Luck, or Locker? We NEED to get a better QB coach, sit whichever one for a season or two learning under the QB coach, Haskell and Holmgren. If we go with one of these early day 1 guys we need to make sure this one works out and is the right one.

Here's hoping we still feel good about Delhomme and/or Wallace and one or the other is a clear starter going into next year. Perfect time to draft Locker, Luck, or maybe Ponder and let him learn for a full year.

Sign me up.
