So why pretend to? So let's say Riff slaps you... and you, justifiably, slap him back. Do you really want a bunch of people saying, "Wow, did you just see K slap Riff? That was dicky as hell. And you know what else? I don't like the way K slaps. Slightly downward motion... that's bullshit man." Someone else walks up, asks, "What happened?" And the gang all proceed to tell the new guy about how you slapped Riff. And what a total douche you are for doing it the way you did it. That's some unfair bullshit. We totally agree on that. Let's build on that agreement and start fresh. Last edited by Shep; 08-28-2010 at 04:26 PM. |

Shep I think much of the reason you continue to get grief about your threads and posts.. your continue to praise "your picks" and create threads about them .. (none of them are on the Browns roster) You do post negative threads about Delhomme who you didn't like from day one, threads supporting wallace over Delhomme, and about McCoy struggling who your not crazy about.. Let me point out a few threads to show I'm not imagining it Ok this thread is about Rogers..you also have a SECOND thread about Rogers (steve d just gets me) you have a thread on Kafka, and a thread on Bradford. All you threads regarding Browns QB's " appear" to be negative regarding the guys you have said in the past you don't like (Delhomme and McCoy). Your thread on Delhomme was based upon over/under for his benching for Wallace. A second thread supporting wallace taking playing time from Delhomme, and a third thread started on McCoys struggles.. You are doing essentially the same type of posting that caused you to leave in the first place.. but people are not gettin as nasty about it as before. But you have to understand why this drives people a bit nuts sometimes. It gets hard to ignore.. I am not attacking you or calling names, but asking for a little self awareness and why your ticking more than a few people off. again.

Sez, I really don't think we can justify it that easily, or we're just gonna see more. I've written posts and threads on scads of topics, not just Rodgers and not just quarterbacks. It just doesn't wash. It's just unnecessary meanness. It's simple to avoid a topic you don't find interesting. There's no excuse for dropping in because you like to hassle the poster. It never goes anywhere good. Simple policy: If you don't have something to say about the topic, if you don't find it interesting... just skip it. Stay away. There's absolutely no reason to do otherwise. I know I've been preaching this for a long time... but it works. Tom wrote a few VY posts a week back, and I dropped in to give him and VY their props. That's it. No pointing out that VY doesn't play for the Browns or silly shit like that. We can do it. Yes we can. |

For me Sez, it isn't the constant QB threads, about guys who play for other teams, or double stardards towards guys he doesn't like. Its the constant calls for pats on the back, the pats on ones own back and condescending responses to people when an opinion disagrees with this. Trying to act/portray himself as if he is the smartest/most knowledgeable person on this board (along with the desire to try and prop himself up to be). Then there is making statements like "it's a know fact" (usually as part of a condescending response) because Steve D, some writer on ESPN, SI or other source happens to share his. I think Shep is a smart guy, so I would have thought he'd understand that when someone on ESPN, SI, or other source writes/states their opinion of a player, team, etc., he'd understand it is just that, an OPINION, not a FACT. The difference between any sports writer and any person on this message board is simply those writers get paid for typing up their opinion, and none of us do. Frankly most of those paid for their OPINION swing an miss more tha most posters on this board.

Masters, I get that you're looking for some kind of rationalization for your constant meanness. I do. And you're spinning so hard the sweat is smearing my screen. I haven't been a dick to you and I won't. We both know you follow me around and virtually never respond with any level of respect to the actual content. And we both know you need to find a way to just stop. Just give it a try: If you don't have an interest in the topic or my post... just skip it. Walk away. Don't comment on me or how I make you feel about yourself or any other nonsense. It really is time to stop, man. C'mon. This last post was just so nakedly trying to rationalize that it didn't even bother to connect to anything in this thread or any other recent thread. It's just totally pointless, trying to keep something alive that should have been left behind long ago. If you're really talking to Sez, maybe step off the stage and just start e-mailing or PM-ing him about how much you don't like me and why. But for God's sake, man... just try to not talk about me for a while. Quote:

Otto Graham with 2 AAFC titles under his belt after 28 starts (AAFC season was 14 games instead of the NFL's 12) with qb ratings of 112.1 his first season and 109.2 his 2nd season with 42 touchdowns thrown and threw for 4587 yards (that's right, his first 2 seasons). If you want, we can look at his first 2 NFL seasons.... Guided the Browns to 2 championship games and won one of them, posted ratings of 64.7 his first season then 79.2 his second with 31 tds thrown and threw for 4148 yards. 10 years, 10 championship games, 7 of those won, 174 passing tds with 23584 yards thrown in 126 total games. No other qb in the history of the NFL is EVER going to do that again.
