![]() Luck does need to build upon this strong performance -- the Arizona, Cal, and Oregon State games will be nice tests for him -- but he's definitely looking like the top guy in the class. |

I think Luck and Locker go 1-2 in some order. Then you get to Mallett and Ponder. I think Ponder will be a really good WCO QB and Mallett doesn't fit that kind of scheme at all. I really have to watch Foles more. Haven't seen him once this year. Tough to imagine us not getting one of those guys or Kolb. Delhomme should be announcing by next year. |

But if guys are going to get crowned they need to show it imo. This game was very much what I'd expect to see from a guy being highly talked about. He showed up big in a big sport like a frachise QB should. Like you noted, he needs to follow it up agaisnt ARZ, Cal, and ORE. I am just a believer that it's a body of work. Last year you had people ready to put Locker as the #1 pick if he came out, and so far he's hardly looked that part. |

Right now I have Foles well ahead of Ponder. Foles could be a Matt Schaub type of guy. He gets drafted in the 2nd round and doesn't start for a few years. Finally gets an opportunity and runs with it. Ponder is the equivalent of Alex Smith, IMO, in terms of production (not style of play, just I think Ponder will have good games, but more often bad games in the NFL). |

| Quote: That sold it for me. If he busts at qb, we can move him back next to Ward as the other safety and he can qb our D for us. We could have the single most feared secondary in the league! Bad Luck and Trauma Ward!

Ponder and Luck both look like they could use another year of college to me. They just don't seem to be ready to take that next step yet. Mallet is a fringe guy to me but I haven't seen Locker enough to have a solid opinion. It's early in the year and I guess there could be some growth during the year to push these guys over the top. This could either be a great class or a very scary class if you are looking for a QB. If I had to pick know I would offer Philly my 1st and a 3rd next year plus a fringe player and take Kolb. I wish I was sold on any one of them. |
