Just thought I'd throw this one up here. Specifically this is for you Ramrod ![]() While I never claimed Bradford would be a bust, I was pretty critical of him and not convinced he'd translate to a great pro QB. and while we never had a shot at him in reality, I had some pretty lengthy debates (some might call them arguements ) with Ram about this kid. From what I have seen so far this year, I was WAY wrong. Bradford is the real deal.

| If we could have had him for just a straight first round for first round trade? Oh I was in favor of that back then. But they were asking for way more than that.

Glad to see the kid working out for the Rams. Part of me wishes we could have got him, and the other part is glad we didn't because McCoy is currently working out so well for us and it let us focus on other needs. Every qb in the last draft was risk/ reward and Bradford was the closest thing to a clear franchise qb and the rest seemed like projects. Bradford's injury scared me but he seemed the most complete package. McCoy's lack of a big arm scared me and I didn't think he's be ready to play so soon. Pike's inexperience as a starter scared me but I loved everything else the kid brought to the table. I really fell hard for Pike since the Bearcats games were broadcasted here and he just looked amazing under center. It's a case of "You see him play great, get the mancrush thinking of what he could do for the Browns" type deal. I'm not trying to derail a thread here, but just wanted to blurb this one out real quick. Josh Freeman has amazed me (yes, I know he wasn't this year's crop), he's just so young and inexperienced with so much young and inexperienced talent around him but just finds ways to win. I would have never guessed he was going to turn out this good, kudos to anyone who called him.

I liked and still like Bradford but that shoulder scares me. Look at Matt Stafford of the Lions - he just came back from a shoulder injury and just re-injuried again for something like the 4th time. You invest all that money in the #1 pick like Detroit and St Louis and you don't want to have to invest heavily again in the QB position because that just kills your ability to form a team.
