Default You knew it was coming..... Dez for ROTY...

Beware....... this thread contains and and

While I was doing my daily youtube spree on Dez, I came across this little gem....

Its just for those of you who havent seen any cowboys games this year or seen Dez at all.

Yes I am an asshole for posting another "I told you so thread"

All I wanted to say is that dez is a legit ROTY candidate as this video highlights all 8 touchdowns he has scored.

My main reason for doing this, is because of all the people who were labeling him a bust during draft season, and all the people that thought we diddnt need to draft another receiver

Our receiving core is obviously beyond lackluster, and in combination with a worthless OC... Our offense is hurting. It wouldnt have been as bad with Dez as our draft choice, Im sure colt would have loved to throw to him

(Josh Mcdaniels is probably shitting himself for choosing Demaryius Thomas over dez)

Most people that I'm aware didn't label him a bust. Only a lazy player with character issues who will inevitably rock the boat. Is he still falling asleep during practice?

So glad we drafted Haden.

Are you a Cowboys fan PGL? If so, I'm happy they drafted who you wanted. Pity he couldn't help them to a better record.

He's a talent though.

At this point I'd rather have Dez over Haden, personally.

I'd really want both though.

Really? you want to go back to ralph brown, hank poteat, and the other rejects playing back there with Wright and Sheldon Brown?

Dez is a talent, but i'll still take Haden.

Dez at this point is playing like he has something to prove. Once he feels he has proved himself, look for the diva to come out and it will. If you do not have a very strong locker room to deal with it (i.e. pats with Moss) he will end up being a cancer. Look for year 3 of Dez, to see the problems start occurring.

Dez is a close 2nd to Sam Bradford IMO.

60.6% 14 TD's 9 INT's and over 2100 yards.

And he's throwing to guys like Danny Amendola, Brandon Gibson, Laurent Robinson, and Michael Hoomanawanui.

I think this qualifies as a team with no WR depth. They had some inconsistency at QB and HC.

To be fair if we place Bradfords schedule in front of McCoy, and vice versa, he could be in line for an ankle injury.

Still he isn't throwing to anyone better than our WR's.

You know, you can stop waving your e-penis around.
When I was raised, we stroked ourselves in private, not in front of every stranger that happened to walk on by.
You're carrying on like this is the first time you've ever been right about anything, if that's the case, take a bow and get over it.
Any you're really stretching the truth.
Not one person here said Dez would be a bust.

What was commonly said was Dez probably wouldn't fit in here, he lacked a solid work ethic where the higher he was taken, the better of a chance of busting he would have, the lower he wen the harder he'd fight to prove everyone wrong, Dalls was a great fit for him due to all the other offensive weapons that were already there that would make his transition to the pro game easier AND we're hurting worse in the secondary than we are at WR so Haden would be the better pick for us.

So unless you're willing to go back and dig out posts where someone said "Dez is going to bust" please shut the hell up and get over it.

You do realize McCoy is completing 63.8% of his passes for 1950 yards if you avereaged it out for all 10 games, now his TD:INT ratio is worse than Bradfords right now, but as someone said later, have them exchange schedules and see who is doing what.

Edit: Colt is averaging 7.7 per attempt to Bradfords 5.7. Gee I guess they should fire the OC in St. Lois.

I'm gonna borrow a line from our good friend Rich and say this.

WR's are a dime a dozen. Every year there is some phenom talent coming out in the draft.

Dez at 7 would of been a collosal mistake. He would of wanted a shit ton of money, and we weren't ready to add that piece. Don't worry PGL, there will be another darling WR for you to fall in love with, and now with a lot of pieces in place we might actually draft him.

I don't mean to sniper this topic since I haven't been around much... but this is one of those things that bugs me. Why is it that a Rookie of the Year candidate has to be at or near the top of his position... unless he's a quarterback? For some reason, if a rookie quarterback doesn't straight piss down his leg, he's a superhero. I don't get it. I'm sure I'll never get it.

Sam Bradford is the 27th rated passer in the NFL this year.

Anyone behind him (excluding Brett Favre) has been benched at least once for performance this season.

How on earth does that make you the Rookie of the Year?

I know this isn't what this thread was about, but geesh.... Every year we go through this annual anointing of a couple of young quarterbacks like we're bestowing knighthood on some returning hero.

The NFL fans - and the media need to calm down.

If I hear one more talking head refer to the Detroit Lions by saying, "Well, when they get Stafford back..." As if he's the second coming of John Elway, I'm going to lose my mind. For crying out loud the kid's 3-10 as a starter with 19 touchdowns and 21 interceptions. Oh, and he can't seem to stay healthy.

But "When he gets back...." What? We'll finally get to finish our scouting report on him? Good God!

And while Dez Bryant deserves consideration - his 48 points tie him for 11th overall among non-kickers - you have to also consider what LeGarrette Blount has done through 7 games with 6 to play; and give some attention to Jahvid Best for racking up 757 scrimmage yards and 5 TDs through 10 games with the Lions.

Mike Williams of the Bucs could outpace Bryant by season's end as well.

Sorry for the rant but that's just one of those things of mine, I guess.
