See this is my problem with the folks doubting Colt, You've given up already on him 4 games into the season. And you can deny it now. but that statement above says it all.
Dude, you're playing "j'accuse" and coming off silly. "You can't deny it now!" I says what I think and thinks what I says.

My point isn't that McCoy can't show improvement this year. Which, uh... would be a pretty weird point ("J'accuse!!"). It was that he might just get another year either way.

It's like you think I'm out on Wall Street now with those hippies who don't have a point (in spite of the fairly clear signs like "we are the 99%," complaints that nobody on Wall Street went to prison and nothing has been done to prevent it from happening again, and long-standing predictions that a revolution was imminent).

As soon as "they" start calling'em hippies or claiming they don't have a point.. you know "they" are scared shitless. Hell, "hippies" ended a war last time. How hard could it be to bring down a shadow government?

Fortunately for Colt, I think Barkley (a legit top five pick) stays in school. I'm beginning to think we'll win too many games (like 6) to be in the Luck derby.

And who knows? Maybe we stumble into brilliance and Colt really does go all Drew Brees on our asses in 2012.

Again, why is any of that FORTUNATE for Colt? What does whether or not Barkley comes out have to do with Colt's improvement unless you're already assuming he won't improve enough to make you not want Barkley if he comes out?

Dude, you can spin this anyway you want. The way you write things MEANS something. Even if you don't realize it yourself. There was NO REASON to say it would be fortunate for Colt that Barkley stays in school, unless you already think we are looking for Colt's replacement. Which obviously you are.

And then to say we "stumble into brilliance"? Yeah that shows all kinds of faith in Colt.

Random thought of the week:

The Rams look like shit. Their D is essentially one guy, their WR's suck balls and their OC apparently has Alzheimer's 'cause he thinks it's 2007 and he's back in New England. There's a good chance they could be #1 overall again.

Do they A: Trade the pick away for a shit ton of picks or 2: Draft Luck then trade Bradford away for multiple of picks?

Okay, now I'm ready to admit that McCoy sucks and likely won't be starting next year. Holy shit, he hasn't even faced the Ravens or Steelers yet! In 3 of his 5 games, he's completed under 50% in a WCO... and just can't go downfield with an accuracy or zip to save his life.

He missed SO many passes today. Just flat out missed.

That's so funny... because I was about to file an official request. Thank you!

(I think that last miss to Watson was the last straw... and it did feel like Quinn ripping my heart out, unable to throw an accurate pass as far as three farging yards.)

Being a Browns fan is good for Alo's job security. Always draft work to be done around here!

Ha. I'm going to be writing a lot of Browns draft stuff this spring. The two first round picks will make it fun. The likely acrimonious QB debates...not so much.

Bradford's pre-rookie wage scale contract would make it very difficult to trade him. The cap hit would be crazy.

Luck still has 1 year of eligibility remaining. I'd piss my pants laughing if he trolled everyone and stayed in school come draft time.
