Palmer hasn't been the same since the cheap shot to the knee he got in the playoffs from the Steelers' lineman a few years ago, I think Oakland got fleeced out of desperation in this deal. The only way this is a win for Oakland is if they make the Superbowl.
Yes, Jax and he almost got another one today. 3 picks, plenty of rust. The Bungles move just keeps looking better and better

palmer had the following to work with:

- main RB out
- 3 days to learn the offense
- 10 % of the practice snaps in those 3 days (boller got 80%, remaining 20% split between palmer and pryor)

I agree the Bengals made out with a steal, but you can't judge a guy with that amount of work before a game unless hes jesus himself. I think I'd rather have palmer than mccoy right now if he would have been with the browns since the start of the season.

And how far were the raiders behind thanks to Kyle Boller, before Palmer came in?

I agree you can't judge palmer off that game. But I wouldn't say I'd rather have Palmer than McCoy this season, especially if you are in the same situation Oakland is in with no first round pick next year.

Fixed that for you. Oakland mortgaged the next 5-10 years on Palmer being able to win it all now. They already only had a few picks left, like a 1st and a 6th rounder next year now just a 6th rounder, maybe they still have their 5th too. They could've used that 1st to at least grabbed a 3rd and or 4th with trades. Now it all falls on Palmers shoulder to get them a SB before their already... Veteran team gets older.
