Default Are the Colts throwing the season?

62-7. I don't know their complete roster but I know Sanders left and Manning's out but their core players seem to be intact. 62-7. I know the defense was built to play with a lead but are you trying to tell me Freeny, Mathis et al have lost their ability to play AVERAGE defense? Are Wayne, Garcon, Clark and the rest completely lame when Manning isn't the one behind center?

Conspiracy theories abound for different teams but is this team truly, purposely sucking for Luck? Is there an unspoken agreement that they have one of the best QB's ever and since he happens to be out this year we waste the year, get Luck in the draft and he learns the ropes from Manning for a couple years and now the Colts have the next Manning for the next 15 years(assuming he lives up to the hype)? Sounds absurd to me but how do explain the total collapse of this team?

Lots of questions from me and I have no clue. I do know if I were a Colts fan I'd let them see what an empty stadium looks like. 62-7

Yes they are. I thought that was made obvious when Bill Polian started bunking at his sons apartment at Stanford and Irsay hit twitter talking about how perfect it "would(will)" be to have Luck as Peyton's understudy for a few seasons?

Wait until the starters begin dropping with the injuries. The team is up in age, so they could be the top turd for sure.

Do Miami and Indy play each other this season?

I'm ready for the Toilet Bowl.

That would be an incredible sight, each team purposely screwing up to try and lose. S/T guys calling fair catch on the one inch line and such while the HC's call 5 WR sets on the next plays ensuring the safety.

I shouldn't wish this...

But in the back of my mind I have this urge to wish that Luck just busts and busts big. I mean Ryan Leaf "DON'T TALK TO ME ALRIGHT!" to the club camera guy in the locker room bust. I just think it would be ironic to see so many teams are clamoring for him in the season and have him bust. Either that or he sees the state of the #1 team and stays in college for that last year of eligibility.

That would be way too funny. Colts have #1 pick, Luck has no desire to sit behind Manning for a few years so he screws everybody by staying put. With the salary cap he wouldn't have a money reason to come out (other than endorsements) and he might want to stay if he doesn't win the Heisman although that would be a bit lame.

So...there are whispers around the media outlets that the Colts should consider trading Peyton Manning to ensure they get Luck in the draft. That would be a bold move...think the Browns would take that trade? Although I doubt we have a high enough pick to offer.

As good as Manning is... I'd be against that trade. After the neck surgeries and his age, who knows if he'll be the same player he was before the injury. Plus the guys career is almost over. I'm sure he would get us to the post-season if he is the same player but I don't want to end up like the Vikings who are now seeing what having Favre for those 2 years did to their current team.
