    2-1 i suck at this
Mav's leave a time out on the board ..........then end up with a 4 point shot down 1 what a joke... coach.. coach

Julius Randle.. sad ......he looked good in the preseason...cost them a couple of wins, unless Ed Davis steps it up big time. heck 35 wins would have been good imo

3-0, nice! Ed Davis isn't stepping up. 3 different teams now are looking for Davis to take that "next step". I'm not seeing it. Randle was a huge bummer, the Lakers were counting on him being productive as a rookie. You never want to see a kid go down, but I think there is something funny about the Lakers tailspin.

As a Vancouver (and Memphis) Grizzlies fan, I love that they kept the name. The hearsay I've read is that they kept the team name to keep the 'history' of the team... They certainly could have picked a better name that represents Memphis, but I like it. That team has an incredibly passionate fan base. The fair weather sports fans in Vancouver just were not ready to sustain an NBA franchise. They love their Hockey but I don't know if they were ready for NBA. Well the horrible ownership/managment probably had more to do with it. I could go on ad nauseum hahah

Big Country was good if you could feed him the ball in the paint and that was about it. One of the few guys who was big enough to probably match Shaq's strength. However, he was often hurt or banged up, not a great rebounder or defender. Honestly one of the biggest busts I've seen in Basketball but big men are much more iffy as high draft picks. He wasn't terrible but he didn't pan out how we hoped.

    he's ok playing rookie style

who pissed you or him ?

i was never pissed like Love. this just might have been All worked out on draft day. if we were going to keep a player we should have taken Parker.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't excited for the prospect of Wiggins/Thompson/Bennett team Canada before the Love trade, but Kevin Love > Chris Bosh. It should play out nicely.

Wiggins has looked okay, he's still growing comfortable to playing against superior talent. Bennett is the one who has been lighting it up actually. He's playing with purpose.

    Default Lakers Win Lakers Win

    Chuck can have a meal.

So EE what is the story on Ed Davis ? never seen him, a "who he play for ?" fail for me.
Looking over his numbers they look good. question why he never got 30+ minutes.
    please enlighten me.

    From what I've seen he's a bargain @ $ 1mil. a lively 6 10 with a over 50% lifetime shooter. iffy FT shooter only negative.

Ed Davis has been around, notably he's played for both the Raptors and the Grizzlies (and one or two other teams I believe) and was buried in the depth behind better PF's. He was always an 'effort guy' inconsistent but a solid rebounder. In Memphis he was playing behind Z-Bo and in Toronto behind Amir Johnson and others he never saw meaningful minutes or was able to turn the meager minutes he got in to play that got him noticed. In Memphis he got flack because his effort wasn't always there especially defensively and that's how you find yourself on the bench pretty fast.

He's one of those guys you watch and go "How is no team giving this guy a shot?" James Johnson a similar kind of player in that regard IMO (playing for the Raptors again). Now the Lakers are, and they are likely very glad they are.

Thought you had a secret i was not seeing.
Old Kobe playing better than i thought, maybe i should say moving around better. seen he was to be the all time leader in shots missed in NBA history soon if not already.

Lakers over the past year are..... who are they.

They are who we thought they were

Nah I am in the camp that Ed Davis' potential has been inflated for some time but maybe in LA he can find himself. It's the first time he's got the opportunity to earn meaningful minutes. I noticed after he said that tweet, his Twitter background is still Memphis Grizzlies related lmao.

Sorry if anyone deserved to be called selfish. Its Kobe.

Real intersting quote from the Heat/Wolves game a few days ago. Apparently after the game Dwayne Wade took Wiggins aside and told him he's got all the tools, "go hard if you want to be great" that was the quote I read.

As for the message the 2006 Finals MVP relayed to the University of Kansas product, Wiggins says that Wade encouraged with a simple question. Via ESPN’s Isreal Gutierrez:

“He asked me if I wanted to be great,” Wiggins said of his postgame exchange with Wade. “I said yes. He said I’ve got all the tools to be great, just keep working…”

“Those words at the end of the game just motivate me,” Wiggins said. “Already I’m thinking about what he said, and it’s going to carry through for a long time now.

“He’s one of the people I watched growing up, one of the people I idolized. That guy right there is great.”

    Awesome.

    - See more at: http://dimemag.com/2014/11/gif-dwyan....f4BryUYS.dpuf
Someone On reddit quips, "Wade said more to him than LeBron ever did" lmao.

I think Wiggins has all the tools, and though he may not be lighting it up like Parker (many argued Parker was more 'NBA Ready' right away, and he's shown it... IMO) and some other rookies but I think he's played well, consistent, that's the key. 9 PPG / .431 FG% / .400 from 3pt / .563 FT% (this should go up in time) / 3.5 RPG / 1.2 SPG / 1 AST

Keeping in mind that with players like Rubio (injured) Martin, Thad Young, that other rookie they drafted, Levine? There's a ton of young talent on that minnesota squad. They'll be learning together. I think in time they could be dangerous like Phoenix. A team with great energy and chemistry.
