I had him pegged as the Browns' hopeful pick back in January. I bought his jersey in June. I was into Danny Shelton before it was cool.

Now THAT's how a first round pick is supposed to go.

A leader, embraced by the staff and 'mates, and by the way, a damn good starter on day numero uno.
2017 Draft: Garrett, Peppers, Njoku, Kizer, Ogunjobi, Collins (via trade of 103), Wilson, Johnson, Brantley, Gonzalez, Dayes
    2018 EXTRA Draft picks: a 1st (Texans), two in 2nd (Eagles & Texans), a 4th (Panthers/A.Lee), a 5th (Chiefs/Cam) - 12 total
    2019 EXTRA picks: 7th rnd (w/ Coates)
Philly trade result: C. Coleman, Peppers, Kizer, Kessler, R. Louis, S. Coleman, Drango, Kindred, Payton, 2018 1st rndr (Texans) & 2018 2nd rndr (Eagles)

And I just think back to the cynical scouting reports that Shelton is proving wrong. Grundy is a monster plain and simple.

Does that make the Browns staff Polycentric?

Love the guy. Appears easy going off the field and a badass on it.

Definately will be in the running for defensive rookie of the year. I feel strong about this pick..more-so than any in years.. Winning pick.. nice job by Farmer on that one. One of the true good and nice guys who will be a leader. He is a strong character guy and I assure we will never read about him having off the field stupidity issues. and loves to get after it on the field.

It'll be tough for a nose tackle to win rookie of the year, but I'll look forward to it.

In terms of PFF, Danny Shelton had the 3rd best grade of all first round rookies. I didn't save the link, and can't be fucked finding it, so just trust me. Shane Ray was first by a long way and Leonard Williams was second, with Shelton really close behind.

This guy has a chance to be what no Browns defensive rookie has been since The Return: a true game-changer.

If he can handle Mangold, we're going to have a good shot at the road win.

A lot of watchers of the Jets think Williams will have a strong game n Sunday vs. Cleveland. Jets have a decent DL, even with Richardson out. Browns better be ready for them.
