I don'y buy into the MSM being slanted when anyone can go get news off the internet. There's far more choices than before the internet when MSM was a legit concern. Not now. If you want to get a conservative POV go get it. If you want a liberal POV, go get it.

    MSM is dead.

Unless you're still watching TV for your news. I DVR the local news essentially for the sports and weather. The rest is mostly the police blotter I pass through unless I'm looking for something.

It's tough to argue those results." Pat McManamon 5-3-16

Default Trump TV: Cable News Notches Historic Ratings

    29 Mar 2017

“Continuing its record-breaking ratings streak, FOX News Channel (FNC) finished the first quarter of 2017 with the highest-rated quarter ever in cable news history in 24-hour viewership, and once again topped cable in both primetime and total day, according to Nielsen Media Research,”

“Three years ago, people were suggesting that cable news was on its last legs … Now there is nothing more relevant in the landscape than these cable news networks.”

But both MSNBC and CNN shattered ratings records of their own. MSNBC, in particular, surpassed Fox News in terms of percentage growth of viewership, with a 51 percent boost in daytime viewers and 58 percent of primetime viewers, while still trailing Fox News in total viewership. Although CNN suffered a 17 percent decrease in primetime viewers, the network’s total daytime ratings rose 11 percent

So all these stations are doing well...by their own records/accounts. #deceivingBS

Those ratings are done by others. for what it's worth. if it was a total sham Fox would be getting zero ratings.. just saying

Look it's safe to say over half the people don't watch/care about the news. I kinda envy them at times.
both half's of those who do watch/care mostly only care about one side or the other. I'm saying all this about the political stuff in the news.

Where the 2 sides here do report the same line for example is on Russia Ukraine situation. they near never give the other side ...that the NATO expansion since 1989 is the problem on the Russian side.

Are those Nielson ratings or is it sponsored in any way? I don't know.

Also I just heard that Russia's occupation of Syria is in part because they want access to Syrian oil ports in the Med.
