5 years as an NFL LB coach and he is a 4-3 LB specialist,again just what we need.

move to the 3-4 TBH.that would change things overnight.our 4-3 is so predictable and boring.
swartz is an old school 4-3 guy. (4-3 coaches need only apply?) flores is the token interview.
4-3 can be great but you have to blitz those backers.give MG help inside/outside.
woods seemed to blitz DB's more than LB's.he was just OTT conservative.almost fearful.
our LB sack numbers are terrible.In football as in life, the fearful die.we need fearless not fearful.

Maybe he was also restrained by "the boss". Aka analytics.
 
Ive just returned to an industry Ive been out of for 20 years and I can tell you..
you just cannot beat experience.thats why I always hated the woods hire from day 1.2 years as a DC?
an not good years.Its just not enough.woods amateurism has been on display more than once.
Ill never forget the 1st game of 2021 when he used 5 different pairs of LB on the 1st drive.
obviously experimenting with his D in a regular season game.WTF? LOL what an idiot.
you need experience 1st and foremost at this level.period.
 
At that time our LB's were terrible. That was an issue that they could've settled in pre-season but you know. They can't play guys in pre-season.

A KS pre-season might as well include airfare to Hawaii for all the veterans until the very last pre-season game because it's not like they need to be here. It's way too easy of a camp.

You do realize this is most of the league atm. I’m with you, vets should play but McVay and the Rams started this a few years back and everyone kind of rolled with it.
 
Good for him.

Hopefully he picks his own coaching staff, calls his own plays on game days and punishes players when they conduct themselves in a way that is detrimental to his team without restrictions from the FO.
 
hire flores,hes a mad blitzer (we wont) as usual we'll settle for 2nd best.
swartz is old and conservative and uber experienced so prolly perfect for us.
not for me LOL but for the browns,sure.at least we are hiring qualified people.its a good start.
